  1. Human, LG, Paladin of Chauntea [3] AC 5 | HP 16 Theo tries to detect the malevolence with his holy ability. Stretching out his hand he send his will through it hoping to find the evil spirit watching over them. OoC: He has his aura of protection 10' so stay close friends. Evil -1 attack. Searching for the evil spirit with Detect Evil 60'.

  4. CG Human | Fighter 2 | HP 15 | AC 5 | Longsword (5/2) hit+1, dmg 1d8+3 Qwinsea thumbs through the book in such poor condition, "What a shame. These critters don't appreciate good literature." He thinks about keeping it, but with whole chapters missing he is sad that he will miss out in so much of the story. Best he not even attempt to dive into that story and instead look for another book to stimulate him. Maybe the book on poetry so he can use it to pick up women when he is in more sophisticated taverns or brothels. OoC: He picks up the poetry book.

  7. If he listens to Alura's request to drop his fire wall then Callista can see him and still grab him with her spell. She could hold her action until the end of the round if Modar complies with Alura.
  8. Human, LG, Paladin of Chauntea [3] AC 5 | HP 16 Theo is puzzled by the plaque and story. He knows not what to make of it. Anything they have encountered up to this point has been some riddle to solve. But this just seems like a testament. He doesn't know what to make of it. Is it truthful words of caution or another puzzle to solve? Theo looks all about him to see where the plaque may go and return it to its position. Maybe it once hung on the portal or wall. Either way he is still under the impression there is a riddle to solve here and so he means to find clues. OoC: He has his aura of protection 10' so stay close friends. Evil -1 attack. Searching for a place where the plaque may go.

When the other wizard inquired about the Shadowfell he said, "Yes ..." He wanted to elaborate some more but then decided to leave those war stories for another time. She speaks the words of power and conjures chaotic magic on the ring of fire. Her Mischievous spell will try the patience of the dark sorcerer. [Edit] "Call off your guards and drop your fire spell Modar, please ... for me." OoC Alura is going to cast Nathair's Mischief right on the Ring of Fire, which does the following: [1] The smell of apple pie fills the air, and each creature in the cube must succeed on a Wisdom saving throw or become charmed by you until the start of your next turn. I assume if he fails his saving throw and is charmed until the start of the next turn he will not attack this round. [Edit] She will ask him to drop his fire wall using her Persuasion +1 with a 15 Portent for a total of 16 Persuasion. A giggling creature is incapacitated and uses all its movement to move in a random direction. [4] Drops of molasses appear and hover in the cube, turning it into difficult terrain until the start of your next turn.

"Everan! You old blade! Good to see you again." He went over to greet his old adventuring companion with a strong warm hug. "I have been studying the Art. I'm looking to cure myself of this advance aging." He tugs on his beard and touched his wrinkled and leathered face. LG Human Wizard [8] HP 45 | AC 13/16 | Init +3 | Perception 19 | Investigation 23 Alura approaches Callista and nods to her companions, Aubryn and Niles, and says to their dark wizard "How goes the negotiations?" She says it loud enough for the dark sorcerer to overhear them. She hopes her Detect Thoughts spell will pick up something useful about circumventing this encounter. "Is he going to surrender yet?" She is just bantering with Callista knowing that this will have to escalate to combat soon. OoC Alura cast Detect Thoughts on the dark sorcerer already and so she is just going to be scanning his surface thoughts. She will also cast Mage Hand to have that up so she can shove as a Bonus Action. I suspect he is wait to counter our spells first, so we might as well hit him with low spell levels first instead of wasting a high level that he can probably Dispel or Counter.
  17. Qwynn Maraphiir Moon Elf Ranger from Neverwinter Wood Qwynn places the barrel near the stairs in case he needs to kick it down the stairs. Drawing his blades he readies himself for combat and starts stabbing at the enemy as they approach. "Nice webbing!" He compliments his caster friend on his spellcraft. OoC Going to position barrel near the dwarf's side, then he will draw his blades and start stabbing the enemy with his shortswords. I don't know if I can squeeze in and stab both skeletons or if I have to wait for the dwarf to relinquish his spot so I can attack. Either way I will roll and let you decide.

  21. Human, LG, Paladin of Chauntea [3] AC 5 | HP 16 Theo offers prayers to Chauntea to the fallen solider. He notices the darts in his chest and wonders if it was from an attacker or a trap. He wants to touch the darts but is suspicious of poison. Best leave them in the body for now. He does feel that maybe they could position the fallen soldier in a more dignified position. He moves him out of the way and leans him against a wall. "The darts ... do we suspect trap or enemy?" Theo uses his eyes to the best of their human ability to determine what that shinny object might be. He is worried that he might set off a trap if his curiosity gets the better of him. Best those with better eye sight in these dark places determine the true nature of such an object. OoC: He has his aura of protection 10' so stay close friends. Evil -1 attack. Just searching at the moment from his position until he knows it is safe to wander about without setting off traps.

He doesn't think he could catch that little one even running at full speed. Turning from the window to his companions he says "Well, now we have some secret passageway to inspect now." OoC: Go back and search the secret compartment. Also, he checks his coin purse and other dangling possessions to see if they are still on him.
