Sure, can i use my "15" left in my Portent +1 in Persuasion to make that a 16 total? -
CG Human | Fighter 2 | HP 15 | AC 5 | Longsword (5/2) hit+1, dmg 1d8+3 Qwinsea thumbs through the book in such poor condition, "What a shame. These critters don't appreciate good literature." He thinks about keeping it, but with whole chapters missing he is sad that he will miss out in so much of the story. Best he not even attempt to dive into that story and instead look for another book to stimulate him. Maybe the book on poetry so he can use it to pick up women when he is in more sophisticated taverns or brothels. OoC: He picks up the poetry book.

I'll just keep that barrel to the side for now and if it looks like we are going to get overrun I'll will toss it down the stairs. . -
CG Human | Fighter 2 | HP 15 | AC 5 | Longsword (5/2) hit+1, dmg 1d8+3 Qwinsea seems interested in the books as well, "What did you find? Anything good? I only had two books with me out at sea, but one of my shipmates lost them. Damn fool. Anyways, anything interesting?" OoC: He will look over the title and see if any are about adventures (the equivalent to a pulp novel).

If he listens to Alura's request to drop his fire wall then Callista can see him and still grab him with her spell. She could hold her action until the end of the round if Modar complies with Alura. -
Human, LG, Paladin of Chauntea [3] AC 5 | HP 16 Theo is puzzled by the plaque and story. He knows not what to make of it. Anything they have encountered up to this point has been some riddle to solve. But this just seems like a testament. He doesn't know what to make of it. Is it truthful words of caution or another puzzle to solve? Theo looks all about him to see where the plaque may go and return it to its position. Maybe it once hung on the portal or wall. Either way he is still under the impression there is a riddle to solve here and so he means to find clues. OoC: He has his aura of protection 10' so stay close friends. Evil -1 attack. Searching for a place where the plaque may go.

Still, pretty heavy if rolled down the stairs to try and trip someone, I hope. -

CG Human | Fighter 2 | HP 15 | AC 5 | Longsword (5/2) hit+1, dmg 1d8+3 Qwinsea tells Vestas "Have Fang get a really good smell of the little guy's hiding spot. Maybe as we search other rooms he can find similar hiding spots." OoC: Continuing to search behind furniture and checking floor boards in whatever rooms we happen to be in.

Chapter Eight: Castle in the Clouds
rauhric replied to codexgigas's topic in Rise of Takhisis's The Adventure
LG Human Wizard [8] HP 45 | AC 13/16 | Init +3 | Perception 19 | Investigation 23 Alura tells her companions, "Take them down now." She speaks the words of power and conjures chaotic magic on the ring of fire. Her Mischievous spell will try the patience of the dark sorcerer. [Edit] "Call off your guards and drop your fire spell Modar, please ... for me." OoC Alura is going to cast Nathair's Mischief right on the Ring of Fire, which does the following: [1] The smell of apple pie fills the air, and each creature in the cube must succeed on a Wisdom saving throw or become charmed by you until the start of your next turn. I assume if he fails his saving throw and is charmed until the start of the next turn he will not attack this round. [Edit] She will ask him to drop his fire wall using her Persuasion +1 with a 15 Portent for a total of 16 Persuasion. Nathair's Mischief Source: Fizban's Treasury of Dragons 2nd-level Illusion Casting Time: 1 Action Range: 60ft Components: S, M (a piece of crust from an apple pie) Duration: Concentration, up to 1 minute You fill a 20-foot cube you can see within range with fey and draconic magic. Roll on the Mischievous Surge table to determine the magical effect produced, and roll again at the start of each of your turns until the spell ends. You can move the cube up to 10 feet before you roll. 1d4 [1] The smell of apple pie fills the air, and each creature in the cube must succeed on a Wisdom saving throw or become charmed by you until the start of your next turn. [2] Bouquets of flowers appear all around, and each creature in the cube must succeed on a Dexterity saving throw or be blinded until the start of your next turn as the flowers spray water in their faces. [3] Each creature in the cube must succeed on a Wisdom saving throw or begin giggling until the start of your next turn. A giggling creature is incapacitated and uses all its movement to move in a random direction. [4] Drops of molasses appear and hover in the cube, turning it into difficult terrain until the start of your next turn.
