  1. where? this sounds like good stuff to bring up in character
  2. Kittens are not known for their intelligence, and giant magical shadow tentacle kittens are no exception to this. Souris or perhaps someone else may have charmed them, but there's no reason for any of them to be anything but scared of this stranger who smells like mud and blood. However one of them comes over to him anyway. And with the great determination of the very young, decides to climb him. While meeping continuously for food, Draysus doesn't really move, just looking down at the creature as it claws its way up his torn clothing until it is hanging off the front near his neck, continuously meowing, loudly. OOC
  3. Draysus will want to know how the Urn works. And if you know about any other monster locations. But if he doesn't get that information he'll drift away in a couple of days chasing rumours. If he does get the information he'll want to use the urn to find monsters, or go to the monsters you tell him about so he can fight them.
  4. Draysus is going to pretty much disappear almost the instant there's no further monsters in the offing. He'll give money but only out of confusion because he doesn't think the money is his and doesn't value it at all. You're more likely to get the entire pouch of money back rather than 50gp.
  5. When the druid, who was better known to draysus as the 'large wolf' said 'all of us' the ragged man definitely did not consider that to include him. The 'us' was the group, the.. adventuring company?... that all of these adventurers belonged to. There must be a sixth member he doesn't know about. Maybe it's that lady who brought the money? You know, the surcoat one. He leans forwards on his axe, looking at the little creatures. These guys must have some sort of plan. They wouldn't just raise up what are clearly monsters without some means to stop them attacking people. Or.. would they? It's probably impoilite to ask. At least without thinking carefully about the phrasing. OOC
  6. a) Looking for monsters b) fighting monsters
  7. When the werewolf gets up, Draysus gets up too. He's a bit lost in this setting of drinking adventurers, with his burning need to get more information out of them balanced by the fact that none of them seem much inclined to give it. Patience is something he's learned, so he's biding his time while pretending to drink from the cup he's been given - he's thirsty, but not thirsty enough to drink something with alcohol in it. There will be water somewhere, later. While he thinks his fake-drinking is pretty impressive, it's painfully obvious to any outside observer that the quantity of ale in the mug is not going down. In any case, the prospect of action perks him up. He's on his feet and after the werewolf instants after she starts moving, axe at the ready. He never really untensed, so he doesn't tense up but his focus seems to sharpen slightly to that vaguely inhuman glare that makes him look like he's possessed by a demon. When the door is opened and reveals the displacer beast babies, though, he straightens up a little, and lets the bottom of his axe hit the floor with a thud. "Oh." He pauses as he considers his words. "One of your number is a beast tamer, I see." He frowns. "Or will you sell them?" OOC
  8. "I'd prefer to hear more about this monster. Like where it is. Or might travel to. And what it looks like. And it's habits. And what can lure it. And how many limbs it has. And any attacks it uses. And also-" OOC
  9. The ragged man clearly wants to hear more about this 'hag' and all kinds of other potentially fatal things that he's hearing about. But he raises the cheap tin mug that's been offered to him. He doesn't drink. A very perfunctory raise of the mug is all that everyone gets as he waits for the congratulations and drinking to abate slightly so he can get a word in edgewise. The pouch being dropped in his lap though, is a surprise. "What is this?" OOC
  10. Draysus one hundred percent wants to go mindlessly kill himself. He leans forward. Leaving the axe leaned against the table, he steeples his hands in front of his eyes, making his heavy brows look even heavier and more furrowed. "Is this 'hag'... a monster?" OOC
  11. keep in mind draysus will not expect a share of the gold reward and someone will need to physically hand it to him (ideally in character)
  12. even if the party is purely ranged attackers, the shackles would still be good for limiting the mobility options of a melee enemy
  13. Something something laws of Carysand something something. Something something something. Something something! Draysus isn't bored by it. He doesn't really get bored anymore. But it fades from his awareness as his mind fails to pick anything monster related from it. There's a brief spark of interest at 'more monsters in the world', but it fades as he realizes it's an abstract - comforting, to be sure, that there are more left, but not any help in finding some in particular here and now. He feels an impatience as he looks at the short spear-wielder, although his body doesn't move an inch - that coiled wariness leaving little room for such. She mentioned a monster, and appeared willing to give more detail, but he had to wait. He could wait. He could be patient. ... .. .... .... .. ...... .... ... ... ... Internally the pressure built. OOC
  14. The adventurers appear to have gained a whole lot of money. This is generally of great interest to their kind, so Draysus begins to despair of getting answers to his monster related questions. He pauses to think. Should he steal the money and hold it to ransom for the urn? But he doesn't even know how it works. Or if it works on other monsters. Hm. "You mentioned another monster." He says to the small ex-spear-wielder, trying to steer the conversation back towards what interests him. OOC
  15. Someone mentions a monster. They instantly have all of Draysus' attention. He leans forward. His eyebrows go up. He peers out from behind his fringe of matted, filthy hair. "I'll help." OOC
