When I think Canadian metal I thenk Three Days Grace and Thousand Foot Crutch... pretty sure it's neither of them.

Other Canadian metal... but not nu-metal Release the Archers, Spiritbox, Nickleback... i know it's not one of those

Last train to Clarksville?

Take the last train to Clarksville
I'll be waiting at the station
We'll have time for coffee flavored kisses
And a bit of conversation

Oh, no, no, no
Oh, no, no, no

Take the last train to Clarksville
Now I must hang up the phone
I can't hear you in this noisy railroad station, all alone

I'm feelin' low
Oh, no, no, no
Oh, no, no, no
And I don't know if I'm ever coming home

Not sure anyone would know this one but it was nominated for a grammy so...

I feel alone in my body
I feel a silence underneath
In these valleys of blood
In these rivers of rust
Shoulder all the blame again
Mirror locked until the end
It was violent and rough
I was never enough

It was this year. Thought Charming might have a shot since he posted another Canadian metal band.

Jaded by Spiritbox. It was nominated for best heavy metal performance which was one by the great sellouts Metallica, I'm guessing totally on name recognition since it was 4th imo (only ahead of Ghost but they did a cover so I don't think it should have been nominated... especially since they didn't change up the song at all).

Not nominated but a song from one of the other nominees (with a guest duet from a well known 70s/80s singer)

We know we should turn and just walk away
We can't help, but cause more pain
Wounded more with every word that we say
The memories remain

Here we are
Once again
Questioning the end
Am I supposed to let you go?

How do you think they felt when the very first Grammy for heavy metal went to Jethro Tull, for their country album “Catfish Rising”

You treat me like I was your ocean
You swim in my blood when it's warm
My cycles of circular motion
Protect you and keep you from harm

You live in a world of illusion
Where everything's peaches and cream
We all face a scarlet conclusion
But we spend our time in a dream
