FORGOTTEN REALMS Campaign Setting

49t9StnZ_2908140821131.jpgBrühl Tordönson
CG Illuskan Human "Sailor" Fighter 6 "Battle-Master" / Wizard 1
Character Sheet | Adventure Log

His people are Northmen from across the Sea of Swords, on the small island of Ruathym, where they have a fierce reputation of raiding settlements along the Sword Coast in search of powerful magical items to plunder. To the civilized world they are the barbarians which spawned the other barbaric tribes and cultures which have roamed free throughout Faerûn for over a millennia, earning them the nickname "the womb of nations".

While "barbarian" is such a limiting description for the common Northmen, invoking visions of mindless savages reduced to rampaging beasts, they prefer to be best known as the brave and fierce seafarers boldly sailing into the raging temperament of Umberlee's storms; all for the desire to satiate their wanderlust and penchant for magical items. These proud sailors are not brutish animals as the civilized world describes them, but challengers of fate seizing destiny wherever they might find it despite the god's interference.

Brühl, like his people, feels the pull of destiny calling him to adventure; challenging Umberlee's tempests to test his resolve in combating the uncontrollable contests likely set before him. He is typical for his race being tall and athletic build, with golden blonde hair and fair skin, and sea blue eyes that hide a keen mind behind it. He carries himself with a formidable presence, adorning his person with nicked armor and pitted shield, and an arsenal of weapons that he is more than proficient with.

While he stands proud with a straight back and head held high as if he is some noble-born, he is stereotyped for a savage murdering brute that his people are often mistaken for. This mystique haunts him wherever he goes like a bad reputation and will never be put to rest. In truth he is a man just like any other, curious to a fault, driven by dreams of aspirations, and foolishly courageous enough to combat threats beyond his means. He is a wander at heart enjoying the journey and new people he meets along the way. He loves his freedom, misses his family, and is always ready to prove his worth; but above all else he loves magical items. The search and acquiring of them is what drives all his people to brave forces beyond their control to just obtain them. He is the quintessential stereotypical adventure-explorer.

image.png.48315935e09186edab252aa96f16b800.pngAfter his last adventure took him to the Shadowfell he contracted a curse there that aged him from his early 20s to his early 60s. It has been an adjustment for him to loose his youth, but he is determined to overcome this predicament with the same zeal he has for combat. Taking up the pursuit of magic he hopes to learn some arcane solution to his accelerated age. The determinant spirit of a warrior still beats heavy in his chest and now new magical knowledge surges in his head; together he hopes to augment his martial prowess to become even more formidable than before. As long as he has the will to fight and the spells to be succeed, he will find a solution to survive and reverse his condition; or at the very least extend his life magically to make up for the lost decades.

TAL'DOREI Campaign Setting

Eerie_Lana.jpgEERIE'LANA SEQUOIAKIN
CN Firbolg "Outlander" Artificer 3 "Battle-Smith"
Character Sheet | Adventure Log

From the time immemorial Eerie'Lana's people, the Firbolg, lived peacefully in the Veluthil Forest (now called the curse forest "Savalirwood" in the Greying Wildlands) with a host of their closest forest friends, but a horrible corruption plagued their land and forced them all to flee so many centuries ago. Her kin just wandered aimlessly through the Ashkeepers Peaks in search of a new land to call home. It wasn't until they trekked through the Brokenveil Marsh in Xhorhas that they came upon a most unusual settlement, the "roaming town" of Urzin. Thankfully they were welcomed into their ranks and have made themselves at home with the Goblinkin and Orcs of that society.

Eerie'Lana is a quiet and introspective girl with a curious imagination and a knack for creating things using the natural materials available to her. When she was young her odd anti-social demeanor would spook the more outgoing children of Urzin, which lead to a group of mean goblin boys teasing her by calling her "Eerie" Lana instead of Irelana, her given name. In order to reclaim her "power" she adopted their nickname, and when she grew up, she beat the crap out of those goblin boys. Now "Eerie'Lana" is a powerful name that no longer can be used to tease or shame her.

Heroic Chronical

Heroic Chronical

It is unfortunate, but Eerie'Lana's story is a tragic one. Her people fled their home from a dark corruption that tainted their once beautiful forest. Her tribe of nomads wanders for many years looking for a home to settle, but their kind was never welcomed anywhere for too long. As her tribe trekked through the Ashkeepers Peaks her father disappeared one night alone with a sword and shield. Where he went, he would never say, but when he returned, he only had a battered shield affixed to his broken arm to show for it. His wife questioned him about his battle, but he never spoke a word to anyone about it.

Eerie'Lana was a baby then, so she had no memory of the incident her sisters spoke of, but it also never stops her father from occasionally wandering into the dead of night with only a sword and shield to accompany him. This went on for years and by now she was a bit only but also the baby of all the girls when something horrible would scar her forever; it would be the murder of her mother. One night a wildman came into their campsite to steal their food and belongs but caught her mother by surprise. The wildman saw her mother as a threat and slew her where she stood as she tried to protect her children. The oldest of the sisters took her siblings with her and fled in terror. All night they hid in the mountains fearing to make a sound or they would alert more wild marauders to their location. When light came, they found no marauders at their campsite, but only a distraught father who was mourning the loss of his wife.

Eventually Eerie'Lana and her tribe would find a place to call home where they were welcomed to start a new life with a new accepting community. The loss of their mother really affected the sisters who never really recovered from the event. The oldest threw herself into helping her father raise the girls, the second became distant and secretive about her comings and goings, the third was jealous of the youngest, Eerie'Lana, and the fourth was always a stalwart older sister who stood up for her when she was being bullied by mean goblin boys. Despite the siblings drifting apart as they got Eerie'Lana always considered them to be bonded by that one horrific event of their past, the murder of their mother.

FORGOTTEN REALMS Campaign Setting

40619a807588009b922be71f5a19b8a5.jpgQwinsea Windjammer
Character Sheet | Adventure Log
CG Tethyrian Human "Sailor" Fighter 1
HP 12 | AC 16 | Init +3 | Perception 12 | Investigation 10

Qwinsea Windjammer is a charming sailor in his early twenties that stands proud at just over six feet tall. He appears to have spent a considerable amount at sea with his tawny suntanned skin, wavy bleached brown hair, and sea blue eyes; a full goatee bread completes his appearance. He has an athletic and agile build; a product of his many years of living and working aboard ships.

He is a man who thirsts for adventure just to satiate his love for being entertained. Self-centered and egotistical he delights being in the spotlight showing the world what an elegant fighter he is. Like his swordmaster before him loves a good fight just to feel the thrill of danger. He knows his reckless lifestyle will lead him to no good in the end, but for now it is what puts a strut in his stride, attracts the eyes of all ladies, and gives him fame and notoriety as one of the flashiest sword-dancers around.

Life is short so why not live it to the fullest. Whatever adventure crosses his path is worth endeavoring upon. Opportunities are meant to be seized upon, so he will challenge any quest that will test his mettle and give him a good story to recount at the next tavern.

FORGOTTEN REALMS Campaign Setting

image.png.5fe253abc9b8da7a2d70fb89dd78c83c.pngFUMA
Character Sheet | Adventure Log
CN Uthgardt Black Lion Human, Barbarian [1]
HP 16 | AC 18 | Init +2 | Perception 13 | Investigation 09

Fuma is a member of the Black Lion tribe, a group of the Uthgardt barbarians that live in the Moonlands region of the Silver Marches. His people have "civilized" themselves from the old ways and settled a small village near their ancestral mound at Beorunna's Well.

Still wild at heart, Fuma has indoctrinated himself in the stories of old to live life like his ancestors did. The soul of Uthgard, their God-Hero, still beats strong in his heart and gives him the courage of the old barbarians.

He knows his kin still wish they could be like the barbarians of old, but are too stuck in their new ways to change. It is a modern world now for the Black Lion tribe and the old days of pillaging and plundering are long past for these "domesticated" barbarians.
