He will reveal a path for me when it is time." With that, he leans back into his chair lost in thought. His attention turns back to the conversations when he hears someone mention 'The High Forest'. He focuses in on the elf woman. 'she speaks of giants too. Attacking the High Forest? He lets her finish speaking before standing and moving to her. "You say giants attacked your home in The High Forest? I had not heard of this. I am from The High Forest too. I am Sketvid of the Tree Ghost Tribe. When did this thing happen?" The human giant's words grip Andraste like tangling vines, and she is speechless as she feels her furrowed brow begin to soften. In all her time without her people, she has never felt so seen, so understood. She had refused The Order of the Gauntlet because she feared they would not understand, but she never considered how lonely she truly was. In her moment of silence, she studies his steely demeanor, searching for reason to distrust him. She has witnessed the fleeting nature of human lives compared to the longevity of Elven existence, but all she can find in his eyes is the strength and resolve of one hundred Elves. Anyone who saw Sketvid would reconsider crossing him. He'd be a valuable asset on the road, for certain. She raises her glass to him. "And die they will." She will continue to observe, staying vigilant for signs that might validate her concerns. But in the meantime, she will embrace this moment of camaraderie they share. She is most interested in the talk about giants, but pays attention to other topics too. There are some parts she fails to understand. Unfortunately, the discussion keeps churning forward, with a lot of voices and opinions. A curse in the giant tongue catches her attention. Another strong-looking man is talking to Glenys. Is this a northern thing? Are all men looking as buff as these? Her eyes linger maybe a bit too long on his muscles, listening in on his conversation with Glenys. The way he sprinkles in words in Giant seems to hint that it is his native language. She didn't even know that there were humans that have it as their native tongue. "I do not wish to lessen your vow of vengeance. I just hope you temper your thirst for revenge with some caution. Your family and friends would not like to see you die a fruitless death, would they? Her people are usually very much dour individuals by nature, which seems to take Glenys aback when Ezra offers a polite smile. "Do you now? That's a lovely menu. Hmm....I'll order the Guldathen nectar, Eldritch berry custard, Elvish seedcake and some salmon." Ezra requested, having somewhat of the sweet tooth after being on the road for so long. The woman's pack was loaded for travail with an underslung bedroll and tent. A map case dangles from a cord on the left side of the pack. The armored robes she wears are those showing her as a devotee to the Raven Queen. A long sword is sheathed at her side and her shield is strapped to the left side of her pack. The white hair and pale skin would mark her as a Shadar-Kai, to those who know of her race, but otherwise Ezra might be mistaken for another of the elven species if not paid attention to. "I'll need to correct my map. It was a mere 60 or so years since I was here last. Would not have expected the place to move on me." She says as she awaits her order, Ezra locates a table with some room and places her pack down, pulling out a map from the case and pulling out some cartographers tools to readjust the location of the tavern. Short lived races never cease to amaze me. Though I certainly hope the move was not due to some misfortune. May your patrons be ever lucky and live their lives fully. As her food and drink are made ready, Ezra thanks Glenys and moves back to the table. Bowing her head briefly. "Thank for your guidance and grace.
