Fiona shifted stance to place her attacker in an exposed position and, taking her dagger in two hands, stabbed downward on the shoulder of her opponent. The move had a lot of force in it, but the indead, feeling no pain and having no blood to lose, hardly felt the piercing steel.

Third Turn

The undead facing Summer manages to dodge her flaming sword and land a heavy punch right in her ribs, dragging the air out of her lungs. Pain emerging on her face by the powerful impact. The undead partially buried in the sand, grabbing Fiona, releases her and twists her leg with force while doing it, causing an ankle sprain. The other undeads, even frenzied by the command of their master, clumsily miss their attacks at Dun and Taran.

Fiona uses that opportunity to land a wide cut at the undead's face, completely opening his left cheek, exposing his desiccated tongue and dark teeth through the open wound.

His comrades were right -- that Summoner had to die! Although the two missed swings were doing quite a number on Dun's self-esteem, there was no time for reflecting on one's failures in life.

With another hoarse growl, Dun strikes at the Summoner Undead, praying and begging for his axe to strike true for once!

Third Turn

Summer cuts with her flaming sword and cuts the the head of an undead in half. The top of his head falling first to the ground in flames. He moves a step more to attack her, but falls to the ground in pieces, splashing black ichor at her immaculate clothes. Then she moves closer to her companions. Dun finally regains his composure and manages to deal a lethal strike against the shoulder of the horrifying undead. He looks at him with what appears to be fury in his eyes, if only he had eyes. He grabs the axe and uses the opportunity to delivers a powerful punch against Dun's ribs. His hand crackling with profane magical energy.

His incorporeal words echoing in their heads. "Resisto estas vana."

Taran cheats his assailant and moves behind Dun and Leon. She than tries to strike the mastermind and fails. Leon tries too, but weakened by the previous blow, he almost hits the back of Taran. He then retreats afraid of a second sapping blow, while the undead mastermind retreats behind the other undeads.

Whatever foul and profane magic, the horryfying undead tried to infuse into Dun's body, failed to penetrate his body. His life essence was briefly touched and tried to be stolen, his resistance severed the link before any real harm could be done, only the lingering feeling of invasion remained.

Free from the undead's grab, Fiona scurries away as fast as she can over the difficult terrain. Each step her legs sinking deep into the lose sand.

Fiona decided it was enough being close up to those abominations. She grabbed her bow, and the magic focus hanging around her neck. With chanting a few words, she changed into a hawk and sped south along the road, then changed back to human form. When standing firm on the road again, she readied her bow.

Forth Turn

Saving his strength in the beginning of the fight for later, like a wine that gets better with time. Dun did an upperhead cut with his axe with such a force behind the movement that it almost cleaved the undead before him in half, stopping at his torso lodged in the spine bones. After trying an unsuccessful jerk to free his axe, he had to put a foot at the undead's ribs to free it and resume his fighting stance. The remains collapsing to the ground in parts.

When he recovered his axe and was savoring his victory, the other undead at the road attacked Dun with a vicious blow to his ugly face, almost knocking him senseless at the ground.

Leon moves to strike the undead that attacked Dun. With his strength consumed, he fails to even lift the axe and deliver a blow to the abomination, almost cutting his own foot.

Above them, a hawk passes flying and lands at the road behind them, immediately converting itself into Fiona.

Casting:

A sword-shaped length of fire erupts from one of your open hands and remains for the duration or until you drop it, which ends the spell. The sword of fire sheds light as a torch and counts as a weapon. You can attack with this sword of fire when you cast this spell and again on later turns when you use an action to do so. When you attack with it, make a Will attack roll against the Agility of one creature you can reach. On a success, the fiery blade hits and deals 1d6 + 2 damage.
Attack Roll 20+ The target of your attack takes 1d6 extra damage
