The forge is surrounded by a lake of lava to prevent its use by inappropriate individuals. The lake is guarded by the Earth Elemental, Reg Fury, who makes the lava lake his home alongside his companion. Those who are worthy to use the Forge may call forth Reg from the lava lake to be carried across to the small island at the centre where they may conduct their craft.
