As in, 'somewhat recently hatched Gamera/Godzilla that we brought to this school because a) we want him(/her?) socialised with humans before xe grows to full size and reaches full power, b) if something does happen there's a bunch of veteran heroes here to solve things, and c) it's a pretty intelligent creature and deserves an education anyway'? (Also 'd; come on, you know narrative causality, if we stuffed him in a lab to be studied then a supervillain would break in within the week.') I know I'm pretty new here, so I would understand if you'd rather go with people that have a bit more experience on the weave. Anyway, I had a couple of ideas roaming around in my mind. I would like to pick your brains on what you like the sound of. - Water elemental (solid, fluid, gaseous). Maybe would be a cool idea to have him start out only being able to turn into one of the states and expanding gradually. - A duplicator who has to keep his total body mass while splitting off. In effect it would make the dupes progresivvely smaller. - somebody with sonic powers, able to mess with peoples minds as well as create hard sound constructs. Has to kind of play fast and loose with the backstory but more then willing to redux and work with the background to make it fit better if needed. Also again, terrible at naming things. But also don't know that I need to have a super hero name yet... if you have never actually been a super hero I suppose. I just figured that it would be a good thematic fit for a campaign about a school run by 'Nightwing' set in universe which includes well-known characters based on Canaries, Crows, Doves, Ducks, Eagles, Flamingos, Hawks, Hummingbirds, Owls, Pelicans, Penguins, Ravens, Robins, and Vultures. (Honestly, I was kind of surprised that there wasn't already a DC character named 'The Goose'.) Excited to try and get an application together; it takes a lot for me to turn down the chance. I echo Khakhan's question; how do you feel about applications that have a connection to an established character, particularly one whose whereabouts aren't mentioned so far? The first idea that jumped out at me is one that I like quite a bit, but works best with that connection, I think. If you'd rather not, that's also fine, I can come up with a different idea.
