Card and fluid view feedback

I'm a certified BALDR appreciator, just wanted to point out a few more things. Halloween theme is amazing btw, I personally prefer the orange on black dark theme over the default dark theme, but that's probably also because I'm an ars technica reader (but I digress)

The card view seems a bit unpolished. Forum names shoved into corner of monochrome boxes.

I'm not sure what the site is going for with the fluid option either. The game ads are not visible and the feed for the first page is all sticky threads dumped into a pile. There is the checkbox thing on the right to toggle on and off various options but ads are not one of them.

@matt_s The Card view is set to take background images in each card, similar to backgrounds in Games. We just...don't have any images at the moment because it was low priority and we're not fully sold on the card view.

fair enough, card style view works decently for games where there are overlay images but its not an easy sell for a website which is focused on text.

I actually second that the halloween theme is great, I kinda like the dark theme but the purple gradient for things like the edit box especially isn't my favourite. I'd be tempted to stick to the halloween theme colours if it was un-halloweened as well.
