  💀CHARACTER CREATION GUIDELINES💀

 

Starting Level: 3 + 1/2 Gestalt Progression (Every EVEN level) (**Ask if you're unsure what this means)     
Race: Humans (with ---> 3pp Wrathful Creature Template)

Primary ClassGUNSLINGERS!!! (All Paizo Archetypes are allowed except 'Techslinger') (This is a static progression class.  Choose and let it go.)    

Secondary Class (1/2 gestalt): (Every Even Level) Any Paizo Class. *see Homebrew below

Secondary Class Rules:

  • No Secondary Class or Archetype that uses Guns!!
    • This includes all ranged-specific classes/archetypes. I would like a team of unique and diverse characters. Not just a bunch of "super-gunners".
  • No Myrmidarch Magi or any other class or archetype that uses guns in conjunction with magic.
  • No Clerics, Paladins, Inquisitors, or any Class or Archetype with access to Domains (Except Druids)
    • Other Non-Deific Domain access may be possible on a case-by-case basis
  • No using guns as Primary Melee Weapons, via the Improvised Weapons feat.    

 

HOMEBREW

The following Class Abilities will progress at DOUBLE CLASS LEVEL for the Gestalt Class ONLY:

This means that for each level taken in a class with any of these abilities, the ability will count as if you'd taken two classes in it.

         

Will Saves  

- Caster Level (for the sake of spell variables ONLY
- Animal Companions, Spirit Animals, and Familiars (Not Eidolons)

         - ALCHEMIST: Bombs, Mutagen and Brew Potion abilities

         - ARCANIST: Arcanist Reservoir 

         - BARBARIAN: Rage, Damage Reduction Bonuses (Not Rage Powers)

         - BARD: Bardic Knowledge and Bardic Performance Bonuses and Uses per Day (not new performances)

         - BLOODRAGER: Rage and Bloodline Powers
         - BRAWLER: Martial Flex, AC Bonus, Unarmed Damage  
         - DRUID: Nature Bond & Wildshape (Access to Wildshape Ability and Uses per Day... but not Advancement to Higher Forms)

         - FIGHTER: Bravery, Weapon and Armor Training Bonuses (Doesn't stack with Gunslinger Bonuses on Ranged Combat)

         - INVESTIGATOR: Inspiration, Alchemy, Trapfinding, Studied Combat, Studied Strike 

         - MAGUS: Arcane Pool    

         - MONK: Ki Pool/AC Bonus/Fast Movement/Unarmed Damage

         - ORACLE: Curse and Revelations (Revelation increase in power... not access to new revelations or higher level Revelations) 

         - RANGER: Favored Enemy and Favored Terrain  

         - ROGUE (and others): Sneak Attack Bonus (melee) Trapfinding and Trapsense Bonuses

         - SHAMAN: Spirit Animal and Hexes (Hex increase in Power... not access to new Hexes or higher level Hexes)

         - SHIFTER: Shifter Aspect and Shifter Claws  (Wild Shape - Same as for Druid)

         - SLAYER: Studied Target and Sneak Attack  

         - SORCERER: Bloodline Powers

         - WITCH: Familiar, Hex Progression (not new ones) 

         - WIZARD: Familiar and Arcane Schools

*If you have questions about one of the above classes or one I missed ie: Ninja, Samurai, Cavalier, etc... Or if you feel something is simply unbalanced... Please let me know.

** The objective of the build rules is to incentivize the regular use of guns while providing a means for a completely separate but viable combat option.

Healing wands are not available to start the game.

Abilities: 25 Point Buy (No Stat over 18 or under 8 AFTER Race Bonus... but BEFORE the template bonuses) (For my ease of calculation, please post your stats before and after bonuses.) 

Hit Points: MAX for levels 1-3, then we will roll and keep the upper half for proceeding levels.  Use either D10+CON or in the case of taking classes in Barbarian, use

D12 (for those levels only).

Firearms: "GUNS EVERYWHERE!!!"  "Guns are commonplace. Early firearms are seen as antiques, and advanced firearms are widespread. Firearms are simple weapons, and early firearms, advanced guns, and their ammunition are bought or crafted for 10% of the cost listed in this chapter. The gunslinger loses the gunsmith class feature and instead gains the gun training class feature at 1st level."

Banned Material: "Leadership" feat, "Synthesist Summoner" class, (Other classes/archetypes mentioned above),

HOW TO APPLY

Start a New Topic on the APPLICATIONS page and title it with your Character's Name and Gestalt Class

 

PLEASE INCLUDE:

Basic Information about your character.

A Picture: As Condemned, your characters may vary from almost normal looking to quite inhuman in appearance. 

(I prefer pictures that lean more toward the Realistic than Anime or Cartoonish)  

A Description of Your Character's Appearance:  All Condemned have some tell-tale, fiendish, or bizarre signs of having been affected by The Turning.  Make up your own details or reference the "Alternate Physical Features" section near the bottom of the Tiefling page for help. 

(*These features do not grant any extra abilities.) 

A Description of Your Character's Personality and Demeanor: (self-explanatory)

A Background Summary that Describes the Following:  (These can be in any form you want.  Ie: Summary, Narrative, Dialogue, etc... They can also be of any reasonable length)

1.) Who was your character before The Turning?

2.) What was their experience of the event like?  Ie... What were they doing?  What did they see?

3.) What is one experience your character has had in the past two years, since the fall of Civilization?

 💀 I'm still debating if I will hand-pick the first party or hold a lottery. 💀
💀 If there becomes enough completed applications, I may announce an approaching deadline with ample prior notice. 💀

💀 If ONE full week passes without receiving a post or notification from an active player, their character will be rendered dead or lost and a new character will be invited to join.  This rule serves both as an incentive for active players to participate as well as an encouragement for players that may be awaiting their TURN to join or rejoin the havoc. 💀
