Eric Posted September 16, 2023 Clone Share Posted September 16, 2023 If you wish to exchange treasure for coin, the various shopkeepers of the town will gladly pay you a fair value for your finds. However, if you want to get a better deal, you may choose to roll against your Charisma. If you succeed, you gain 10% on the value; however, if you fail, your final price is penalized by 10%. Once a price is rolled for a given item and town, the price is "final", though you don't have to sell the item immediately if you don't want. Keep in mind: backing out of negotiations that have gone poorly can earn you a bit of a reputation... Powderhorn Posted September 19, 2023 Clone Share Posted September 19, 2023 Could I buy plate (60gp), a warhammer (5gp) and a week's worth of rations (5gp) for a total of 70 - and roll my CHA to try to haggle it down to 63gp? Powderhorn Posted September 19, 2023 Clone Share Posted September 19, 2023 The goal is to roll under Charisma, correct? Name xDiceName xDiceResult xDiceString xDiceRolls

Powderhorn Posted September 19, 2023 Clone Share Posted September 19, 2023 The best time to roll a natural 1. If nobody wants her old chain, I'll sell it as well, but want to give people the time to take if while its on offer. What would sale price be if it goes that route? (Purchasing was 40gp) Name xDiceName xDiceResult xDiceString xDiceRolls
Eric Posted September 19, 2023 Author Clone Share Posted September 19, 2023 Sale price is half. Not going to allow negotiation on that, for simplicity but also to avoid any chance that an arbitrage meta-game could ensue 😀 Name xDiceName xDiceResult xDiceString xDiceRolls
