D&D 5e

Detailed Description

Long ago, a war between gods of good and evil scoured the surface of the world of Exandria. Both the noble Prime Deities and the selfish Betrayer Gods imbued their mortal champions with supernatural gifts that granted them strength enough to challenge their divine foes. The greatest of these champions was Alyxian the Apotheon, who received the blessings of three Prime Deities to save the world from the apocalyptic power of the Betrayer Gods.

Centuries later, all knowledge of this godlike hero has been lost to time, and two groups of adventurers are called upon to retrace this mythic hero's steps and free him from his timeless prison.

  1. What's new in this game
  2. You are not racing turtles for this one. You are herding them from one location to another.
  3. Vir Corath - Kryn Bladesinger AC: 16 (19) | HP: 24/24 | Initiative: +4 | Passive Perception: +9 | Bladesong: 2/2 Vir was pleased to see the little band coming together, though they had no idea what they intended to do with it. It was just nice to be bonding with strangers, after so long on the road. She'd come to the festival to earn some coin and replenish her dwindling supplies, maybe meet some contacts she contacts she could draw on later. This was exactly what she had hoped for. "We are indeed." They said with a smile. "Having never seen a race before, what are we actually doing?" They were more than happy to learn on the fly, over confident as always in their abilities, but learning first would surely ease the challenge of the task.
  4. Festivalgoers are clustered around a paddock full of young horizonback tortoises that are shuffling around inside the enclosure. The fifteen-foot-tall tortoises are being tended by young herders, who are fitting them with makeshift bridles. These individuals are overseen by a tall, attractive orc who makes sure the bridles are attached correctly. The orc is a horizonback trainer named Adan. He supervises the transfer of the young tortoises from the paddock to the open fields on the west side of the Jumble, where the tortoises will begin training to become mounts and mobile buildings for the tribes of Jigow. The orc waves at you and says, "Have you come to join the horizonback migration? There's a tortoise for each of you, and a medal to be won if you make it to the end in one piece. Las year we had to rebuild three houses after the festival!" Ayo can be seen relaxing here, watching the tortoises.
  5. Sorry guys, I'll try to post Saturday evening, or failing that Monday
  6. Namira - AC: 14 | HP: 24/24 | PP: 14 | Spell slots 2/2 | Conditions: N/A Namira looked over, head bobbing in a repeated nod as she looked west. "I do really want to try to lead the little kinespaji" She said (perhaps still ruffling a bugbear's mane) to her friend and the black bird girl. "They're adorable." Dice Ex Machina
  7. Farah - | AC: 16 | HP: 27/27 | PP: 14 | Psionic Energy 4/4| Conditions: sickened (1 hour) Farah smiles, despite still feeling quite queasy. "Nice to... nice to meet you all. Nami's right, we're here to show these contests who's got the chops... and that's us! Even if... urgh... even if that means sometimes... maybe... eating one too many pies." She grins, though she definitely appears a little "green around the gills" as it were. "Anyway, I know how much Namira wanted to see the turtles. It's your call, Nami. I picked the last one, now's your choice! I'm happy to go for either contest." OOC/Actions N/A
  8. You do not need to worry about Electrum. I do not keep track of currency conversions. As long as you maintain the appropriate amount of currency, you will be fine.
  9. ~ HP: 21/21 | AC: 16 | Pass percep: 14 Piper cheers along with the crowd, although her energy seems to have gone down a bit. Her eyes take on a heavy look like she could fall asleep at any moment. Her sleepy eyes look at the human that spoke to her and she shows a big open mouthed smile, "Yeah! Those pies were delicious! I've never tried to compete by eating a lot of food before. Don't take much to feel this small stomach though, ha!" , she gives her stomach a pat. As small as she was, the stomach wasn't big either, to her it felt twice her size with as full as it was. "That blue one with the hair like a cloud kept up with the cat and Wandile though! She is smaller than me but ate so many pies! I wonder where they all go." Piper looked at Vir for a moment, horrifying? Was watching others eat like that scary to them? The thought perplexed the kenku, but she let it go and her attention went back to the blue-skinned goblin. "Turtle race? I wonder how fast a turtle can really go?" , she pondered. Piper didn't pay much attention to turtles, so she was really curious, "I wanna find out, I'll go to the turtle races. Wandile, you coming too? Oh, I wonder if you can see over the maze... we got to check that out... but would it be any fun if you can see over the maze? Oh, you coming too Vir? Irvan?" "This is my first time here and in a fun festival, I love it so far." A bit of her energy had come back, despite most of it trying to digest, her eyes had regained their wide and shiny gaze. Used 5sp (not sure how to convert. Do we need to worry about Electrum?) Bardic inspiration (free d6 to add to one ability check, attack roll, or saving throw) on Wandile
  10. Vir Corath - Kryn Bladesinger AC: 16 (19) | HP: 24/24 | Initiative: +4 | Passive Perception: +9 | Bladesong: 2/2 Vir had been hanging back, but moved to rejoin Wandile when the carnage was over. "That was horrifying to watch, but also damned impressive." They conceded, giving the blue Goblin in question an nod of respect. "My name is Vir, of Clan Corath. I think after that, you might explode if you got bumped around on the back of a turtle. Perhaps we can all do the maze together." The contests were childish, but Vir didn't mind. These sorts of tests, these sorts of games? It was not so much about the contest itself as it was the idea of it. It was a bonding exercise, a way of bringing folks together. The fact that it did so in a way that tested their skills and endurance was just sugar over the oats, or spirits poured in the ale, depending on the company one kept. They could appreciate them for what they were.
  11. The human's hand is seemingly swallowed by Wandile's giant mitt. Still, the human continues to smile. "The name is Irvan. I'm not from here. I just came here to experience the festival's contests. What about you? Are you from here, or another visitor like me?"
  12. Namira - AC: 14 | HP: 24/24 | PP: 14 | Spell slots 2/2 | Conditions: N/A Relaxing upon the stage with her hands on her very full belly and a contented grin on her face, Namira accepted her award. A second medalion of the day and one alongside her friend, and tying with a Bugbear! Her grin widened as he introduced himself and she replied in kind. "Namira... Farah and me came here to win all the things." She said with a shrug in her slow breathy and drawling way of talking. "There's a turtle race we were going to try next... but then some walking might help settle a stomach... there was a maze? It might be handy to have someone with us who can see over all the crowd, wanna come with?" She added absently. As the lavender blue goblin spoke it was unclear if her sentences were meant to follow each other or if they were just whatever happened to float through her mind at the time. The large dark and heavily lidden eyes looked up at the Bugbear for a while, then motioned for him to come closer to her height. If he doesMouth slackening, but still grinning she reaches up with her long painted finger nails, ruffling and stroking and scritching his furry face and neck. Her head lulls back this way and that as she thoroughly scratches up around his neck and ears. She will continue to do this until made to stop. Dice Ex Machina
  13. Bugbear Echo Knight AC: 15 (Chain Shirt) | HP: 31/31 () | HD: 3/3 | Speed: 30 ft. | Initiative: +2 Senses: Passive Perception 13, Insight 11, Investigation 11. Darkvision 60ft. Wandile huffs, and turns away. Probably they had only changed their mind because they'd seem him watching. He's happy to climb onto stage again for a fun prize giving, smiling widely alongside his fellow victors as the second medal clinks against his first. As they step down he turns to the goblin and catfolk and congratulates them. "You both put away an impressive amount for your size. Name's Wandile," Back down on the ground he grabs the approaching human's hand with visor on his own giant mitt. "Absolutely," he replies with a toothy grin, doing his very best to be friendly despite his intimidating appearance, "Piper and I only came here for a cheap lunch to be honest. I built up an appetite at the wrestling this morning. You local or just visiting for the festival?" OOC Action: - Bonus Action: — Movement: - Reaction: - Object Interaction: - Actions & Resources Actions: Maul . Melee Weapon Attack: +6 to hit, reach 10 ft., one target. Thrown/Melee Weapon Attack: +6 to hit, ranged 30/120 ft., one target. Hit: 1d6 + 4 piercing damage. Bonus Actions: Manifest Echo . magically manifest an echo of yourself in an unoccupied space you can see within 15 feet of you. This echo is a magical, translucent, gray image of you that lasts until it is destroyed, until you dismiss it as a bonus action, until you manifest another echo, or until you're incapacitated. Your echo has AC 14 + your proficiency bonus, 1 hit point, and immunity to all conditions. If it has to make a saving throw, it uses your saving throw bonus for the roll. It is the same size as you, and it occupies its space. On your turn, you can mentally command the echo to move up to 30 feet in any direction (no action required). If your echo is ever more than 30 feet from you at the end of your turn, it is destroyed. When you take the Attack action on your turn, any attack you make with that action can originate from your space or the echo's space. You make this choice for each attack. When a creature that you can see within 5 feet of your echo moves at least 5 feet away from it, you can use your reaction to make an opportunity attack against that creature as if you were in the echo's space. Echo Swap . You teleport, magically swapping places with your echo at a cost of 15 feet of your movement, regardless of the distance between the two of you. Second Wind . 1/1 (Short Rest) Regain hit points equal to 1d10 + your fighter level. Reactions: Class Features: Action Surge . 1/1 (Short Rest) You can take one additional action. Unleash Incarnation . 3/3 (Long Rest) When you take the Attack action, you can make one additional melee attack from the echo's position.
  14. The other contestants do not fare as well as the adventurers. The human makes it to the second pie before calling it quits. The drow almost finishes his second pie before tapping out as well. The halfling, who Wandile had been keeping a keen eye on, struggles mightily on her third pie. Her overconfidence quickly evaporates when see sees just how much her competition can put away. When all is said and done, three contestants stand on the raised platform: Namira, Wandile, and Farah. Agathe speaks over the cheering crowd. "Jigow! With five pies each, your champions!" Agathe hands each of her winners a tin medal shaped like a meat pie. Medal of the Meat Pie Wondrous Item, Common You gain 2d4 + 2 temporary hit points when you use an action to press this medal to your mouth. Once this property has been used, it can't be used again, and the medal becomes nonmagical. While magical, this medal is slightly warm to the touch (as if it's fresh from the oven) and smells faintly of baked pie crust. As Agathe returns to her oven to cook more meat pies for the crowd, the human, who had been sitting next to the adventurers, approaches. He has a scruffy and adolescent appearance. "Congratulations," he says, smiling towards the winners of the competition. He also makes sure to greet Piper as well. "Competitions like these are always enjoyable, wouldn't you say? Nothing but some delicious pies between contestants."
  15. He certainly mentioned either this game or somewhere else (I'm in one other game with him) that he was dealing with some RL troubles, but it's been a little while. Up to as well, but perhaps we can agree the little kobold demurs on the pies for now, which lets us keep moving along a little whilst still giving them room to rejoin. EDIT:// Yes, it was this game back March 27th stye mentioned having an emergency at home.
  16. That was to finish her second pie, which she failed to do. Now you need to make a DC 15 Constitution Saving Throw to save from overeating. Failure means she is poisoned for 1 hour and feels queasy.
  17. Just waiting on DragonZaid. I'll give him another day or two. Piper also needs to roll her saving throw for the pie.
