  1. I apologise for being absent recently, but really I think it's time I bow out of the game for good. I wanted to try my best to stay with it because I liked the concept so much, and because I've really enjoyed our interactions, but it's gotten harder and harder to have the bandwidth to participate. I hope my jumping in and out haven't dragged you down too much, and I hope you have a lot of fun going forward. Maybe we'll see each other in another game.
  2. I have been absent-minded for a while, I apologise for that. I'm also good for jumping ahead a bit.
  3. The Archon taps the ice surface with the tip of his blade. He givesd a small chuckle. "The hellfire feels quite distant from me at the moment. Should we break through?" Show OOC I'm good with going by force. Does anyone here have some fire magic? Show Statblock Paladin of Tyranny lvl 2 Senses: Darkvision 60 ft., Low-Light Vision; HP 3/24; AC: 20; Touch: 11; Flat-Footed: 19; Saves: Fort +8, Ref +6, Will +7; Resist Electricity 5; Resist Acid 10; Immune to Poison
  4. - Lawbringer and Headsman --- Lamiae --- --- Blood: 13/13 - Willpower: 4/4 - Health: Unhurt "More likely than not there'll be enemies in the mountains, that we'll have to deal with. No?" The prospect of overseeing construction appeals to Grigor no more than it apparently does the norsewoman. Though, he counts several killers present, including - when he is not being modest - himself. And they've been selected for their proven abilities. If they are sent to the Carpathians, it is because their strength and weapons are needed.
  5. Brandisher allows Molgrug to snatch the gemstone from his grasp with not much reaction, beyond a low snarl from surprise. The gem, while pretty and interesting, holds no real value to him since he doesn't have any idea how they can use it - anything that looks more like a weapon would be a different story. He shivers briefly as they enter the cold of this new room. Even beneath his disguise, he can feel his black fur standing up. "It's closed? Do you think it's trapped?" 6. - Lawbringer and Headsman --- Lamiae --- --- Blood: 13/13 - Willpower: 4/4 - Health: Unhurt Here at the castle, Grigor is faced with the blank, youthful face of his Sire for the first time in some time. She appears as usual, the form of a girl no more than ten years of age - but with a cold air of experience cast on her face, and with skin as pale and white as the full moon. Grigor has never been within the castle walls, but despite the notorious White Child's ragged clothes she seems quite at home in these surroundings. He approaches and bows his head to her in respect. "Have you been keeping busy?" Her thin voice has the directness to which he is accustomed. He nods. "As busy as I am able. If this is what you've prepared me for, then I'm packed and ready to depart."
  7. Brandisher wipes the odorous zombie blood off his sword. After the construct's explosion, the battle became altogether trivial. His wounds, while significant, are already knitting themselves back together. "Whatever the color, it must have served a purpose." He approaches the crystal, and picks it up to examine it closer. "And so it might have value to us." Show Actions Brandisher will hold on to the gemstone unless anyone else has a plan - or until something happens with it. 8. I apologize if my post escalated the situation. I didn't want to start any conflict, and I am fine with rolling back a few in-game minutes.
  9. - Lawbringer and Headsman --- Lamiae --- --- Blood: 13/13 - Willpower: 4/4 - Health: Unhurt Grigor raises an eyebrow. "Strike dead the slavers or the mortals?" He is not familiar with this veiled woman, but she spoke with a different kind of bloodthirst than he would expect.
  10. While the acid spray sizzles coldly on the surface of Brandisher’s armor, his own hide is impervious to it. He wipes it off of his cheek and forehead, like one would a few beads of sweat. The archon's sword blows are cumbersome, but they fall heavily - all the better to break the stone creature's defenses. Show Actions Brandisher's resistance eats the acid damage. Swinging with Power Attack, taking -2 to add 4 to damage. Show Statblock Paladin of Tyranny lvl 2 Senses: Darkvision 60 ft., Low-Light Vision; HP 24/24; AC: 20; Touch: 11; Flat-Footed: 19; Saves: Fort +8, Ref +6, Will +7; Resist Electricity 5; Resist Acid 10; Immune to Poison
  11. - Lawbringer and Headsman --- Lamiae --- --- Blood: 13/13 - Willpower: 4/4 - Health: Unhurt "I admit...", Grigor adds after hearing the others speak for a while. "I haven't had much to do with our kind. Aside from my Sire, it is new for me to have conversation with... those who are like us. But the message from our patron, I interpreted as promise of a mission - were you promised something else?"
  12. The zombies seem odd, and certainly unpleasant to the nose, but Brandisher shoulders past them and further into the room. Everyone's attention seems aimed at the weird statue, and rightly so! As it comes to life, stone groaning against stone, Brandisher tightens his grip on the sword and makes ready to defend himself. His blade lashes out, hopefully with enough force to crack the creature's stony hide. Show Actions Moved into the room, then attack. Show Statblock Paladin of Tyranny lvl 2 Senses: Darkvision 60 ft., Low-Light Vision; HP 24/24; AC: 20; Touch: 11; Flat-Footed: 19; Saves: Fort +8, Ref +6, Will +7; Resist Electricity 5; Resist Acid 10; Immune to Poison
  13. - Lawbringer and Headsman --- Lamiae --- --- Blood: 13/13 - Willpower: 4/4 - Health: Unhurt "Grigor Karov is my name. I have my home here." He removes one hand from his crossed arms to aim a pointed finger at the floor. This is an exceedingly odd scene. Grigor was expecting to meet this new "patron" of his, not this motley crew - what's more, these are all creatures of the night like him, and it is extremely rare for him to meet others except for his Sire. Now there are so many, gathered in one place. Most of them have been in their "state" for much longer than he, propably. This could be an opportunity to learn, beyond what his good Father Adelbert has been able to teach. "I've served the law in this city. It seems there is another purpose for all of us to serve."
  14. The disguised Brandisher approaches this dusty display. "A shame to have ruined a blade like that. It must have taken something strong to snap it in half." He walks through the statuary hall and takes a place next to the Marilith. The undead seem completely unconcerned with their presence - unlikely then to be placed as guardians. His ears are raised and alert, trying to listen past the groaning zombies to whatever might be waiting beyond them. Show Actions Listen Check to see what else might be nearby.
