  1. Name: Jardyn Race/Class: Human Ranger Description: Jardyn (jar-DINN) is a green-cloaked fellow of medium build, standing a bit under six feet tall. His skinny is tawny, and his hands are heavily calloused. Hazel eyes convey an air of rangerly wariness. Personality: A man of serious and stoic disposition, Jardyn is always ready to help and defend his friends. While wary and a bit slow to trust, you win our green-cloaked ranger’s favor, and you’ve a friend for life. Jardyn lives by a benevolent Ranger’s Code, and he never breaks a promise. Background: Born and raised along the edge of civilization, Jardyn exhibited bravery and valor in endeavors of survival and other forested dealings. Deemed by village elders as a cut-above the norm, Jardyn was sent to the nearby city of Rainwater, where he made bones squiring for knights and huntsmen. Coming of age, Jardyn helped the elder knight Sir Stor Stormwind, to save his horse from a burning barn. His valor not unnoticed, his liege tapped young Jardyn for service in the lord’s army. It was while on patrol with fellow cadets, that Jardyn was waylaid by goblin raiders! Lying unconscious and left for dead, Jardyn was revived and brought back to health, thanks to the benevolent centaur Silfrin. Silfrin counseled Jardyn in rangerly ways, and over time helping him to understand the weight of forested problem. For that the Forest had been molested by the villainous goblin chieftain, Chief Grimhook! Seems ol’ Grimhook and his goblin band have terrorized forested lands for some time, and despite Jardyn’s efforts, continue their chinnanagins to this very day. Now comes our green-cloaked ranger, inspired by his centaur friend and the elder knight Sir Stor, both of whom support Jardyn’s efforts to rid the realm of goblin incursion. Jardyn has tracked his favored foes to the area around Halgrove, and it’s been a long day. Time for a drink.
  2. Marl remains down below. Keeping good company with his paladinic friend. Anything great up there, the half-human fellow bellows above.
  3. Marl nods half-human head. Yeah, let’s both go. Safety in numbers, right? Then we can all double back here together.
  4. Marl nods half-human head. Yeah, let’s check it out then. I’m not much a climber, but hopefully my strength will endure well enough! And with that, our half-orc fellow proceeds to make daring ascent!
  5. Marl draws both his short blades! Hoping to draw upon close-quarter fighting prowess, born of orc heritage!
  6. Bramlin Braveless As a young man, Bramlin (Bram to friends) hails from a family of knights. His father was a knight, as was his father, and his father before him. The latter, Bram’s great-grandfather, was a complete coward of a man, attaining knightly station only but by position of privilege. Thus he was dubbed a surname of dubious distinction for Bram’s forefathers to duly enjoy. Braveless. And, in knightly tradition, it stuck, and now our knightly fellow faces a life of judgment and reckoning. How to overcome his name, and prove to all the realm he is…Bramlin the Brave! An arduous journey surely lies ahead, but Bram is ready to pursue whatever knightly endeavors may arise. For to make a better name for his knightly self, and to entertain the masses with great adventure. After all…what’s in a name? Let’s Play A Game. Interested in playing a largely-lighthearted solo game involving knightly adventures. Sword and sorcery, but also jousting, chivalry and all the antics that can go with it. System-wise, D&D 5e is easy enough for me, but AD&D is also great, and I could happily manage 3.5 or PF 1e as well. Inspired by Don Quixote, A Knight’s Tale, The Princess Bride and Robin Hood Prince of Thieves. Cue theme song, Everything I Do (I Do It For You), now perhaps as stuck in your head as it is in mine. You’re welcome.
  7. Marl attempts to make sense of the papers, Unable to react quickly, Mark momentarily stammers. Then heads to the window and gazes out towards the fleeing thief! Should we go after him, Mark asks his friends.
  8. Half-human hands pick up pieces of the paper. As our half-orc fellow begins reading them! What have we here, Marl asks rhetorically.
