There are small windows along three sides of the building allowing the eye to see into most of the building.

    Workshop

This workshop is large enough to hold multiple wagons at once. A fireplace and a forge stand opposite the machinery, next to a narrow door. Two other doors lead north: one is tucked in an alcove and adorned with a wooden sign reading “Private,” and the other is a slightly ajar double door.

    Living Quarters
This small room is outfitted as a cozy apartment.

As you attempt to shut down the computer or just rip it out, you see a stream of nanites belches forth and begins assembling into a humanoid-shaped robotic form. Before it finishes forming, it begins to speak. “In-in-in-interlopers! You will cease your transgressions and r-r-r-return to your place of origin or be d-d-ddestroyed!”

    Mysticism 35

This is an anhamut inevitable, an outsider tasked with protecting explorers of the galaxy. If this is true, then they are acting strangely—possibly from madness or another affliction.

    Mysticism 40

It is an anhamut and it is acting strangely. There is something wrong with it.

    Sense Motive 25

This creature is behaving oddly. There is something wrong with it.

All of you get another action as it finishes forming.

The trip through the Drift to the Gate of Twelve Suns is not without peril. Strange storms of quantum foam and clusters of planar
debris litter the nearby space during the journey, though these are easily avoidable and pose no threat to the Sunrise Maiden. However, when as starship approaches the end of the trip you pass through a nearly invisible cloud of dust and Kaeon notices something odd with the controls. He checks and sees that it's an issue with the computer itself. You're being hacked! The really odd part about that is that Kaeon is sure that the computer is hacking itself.

You have one round. What do you do?

After a brief discussion, the team decides it best to go directly to the meeting.

When Kyros goes to speak with Amera, she says, "I understand, My Lord." Amera's deferential speech is common in Cheliax when wooing someone where it a significant thing to express that someone has authority over you. Particularly for someone like Amera. "You have important matters to attend to. Will you be able to see me home first? If not, I can return home with my cousin. We can even make sure that Tyler gets back safely."

Dialda let's Braz'i know that she is willing to help with whatever the Bravos were talking about. If not, she can make her own way home. She's had a good time tonight and that she expects to come into contact with him again.

Trini is next to Jorsk. She seems to have forgotten about Garion.

This has been a lot for Tyler. She's off to the side sitting with a group of other young people who don't have the stamina of seasoned socialites.

After you finish with your arrangements and good-byes, you go to Fadelby's shop. When you arrive, the place is quiet. There is dim lantern light coming from inside.

The wainwright shop has two entrances: a door to the east, and a double door to the south. Both are currently closed but not locked.

As this is a formal social occasion, I presume that most of you did not bring your adventuring kit to this event. It's reasonable to have a weapon or something as a conversation piece, but all of you are missing important items. You can retrieve these things, but will need to leave the party early to do so. Of course, the option to go directly there not fully geared up is available to you as well.

So go with some missing gear or leave early and gear up?

The Bravos are the center of attention, so when you break off to meet up, your gathering does not go unnoticed.

Any who show too much interest are kept at bay by Dialda, Amera, and Melma. Also Trini has chosen this time to take an interest in Tyler and they are inadvertently providing a distraction by the fun they are having.

All of you meet and, after sizing up one another, get to business. Chiskisk has put together a short briefing. It is one of the few times that you'll hear their actual voice. "I want to make sure that I have the details correct and, hopefully, provide Regnart and Lavinia with a short orientation. If the two of you have any questions, you'll need to direct them to the others. They are the ones who have provided me with this information." They give an overview of what happened over the last four books, ending with "... you discovered not only the existence and location of the Gate of Twelve Suns, but also, the hiding place of the Stellar Degenerator. More importantly, we aren't the only ones to gain this intelligence: the Cult of the Devourer is one step ahead of you. If there is any chance to stopping the cult, you must speed off to the coordinates you discovered in the vast. I urge you to finish gathering any necessary equipment and be off."

The upgrades to the Sunrise Maiden aren't quite finished when you decide to leave, but all that's left is some minor work that can be done while in transit.

  9. Later in the evening, Tyler comes back to Kuz'Arak after talking with some of her 'new socialite friends' and gives him a note.

    Esteemed adventurers—

I have a proposition for you. I wish to speak about potential employment of your skills, but do not wish to involve the authorities. This is a matter for which your skills are uniquely appropriate, but also one that must needs remain secret. I’ve taken the liberty of commandeering your local wainwright’s shop as a meeting place. Come before sunrise, and do so alone. If you do not meet me before then, or if you involve the authorities, this onetime offer will not be issued again. In such a case, please accept my condolences in advance for your wainwright’s fate and the unfortunate fire that claimed his shop.

Tyler is somewhat tipsy and has spoken to a lot of people. She can't point out the man that gave her the letter nor can she describe him.

  12. As you go about looking to upgrade your gear, Chiskisk contacts you. "You are going into danger. I have found a pair of others who I think that you will find to be of benefit in your upcoming excursion. Both of them are skilled, experienced adventurers. I would ask that you meet with them to decide if you would like to take them with you."

The address for an off-site Starfinder office is appended to the message along with a couple of dossiers.

Lavinia and Regnart, each of you get a call from Chiskisk of the Starfinder Society. You have worked with them in the past and know them as a competent field agent that has taken a desk job. Their offer is vague, giving only a brief overview of what has gone on before. Their message gives an address and holos of the agents you'll be meeting.
