  1. Booth informs the party that he can hear crying and whimpering beyond the door at the end of the hallway. The door doesn't seem locked or barred in any obvious way.
  2. Oswald Magismith, the Magical Artisan The coin Oswald retrieved a moment ago while casting his spell was not just to illustrate his point. He cups the coin in his hand before opening his hands, the coin suspended in the air between them with arcane glyphs swirling around it. With his expertise and abilities in mere moments Oswald rapidly writes out the glyphs needed for the next spell, slamming his hands shut around the coin to infuse them into the coin. "Almost ready." Actions: Rapid Infusion feat to use the Spell Storing Item as a 3rd level infusion to turn the coin into a makeshift scroll of Magecraft, at the cost of 13 XP. Thorn will continue to move closer to Oswald, to BJ-30. Gaius will move just behind where Cuffwell fell and attack the enemy fighter. Gaius' Attack Gaius' Damage
  3. Archon 2-6 drops the raptor with his double spear thrust before putting it down permanently with a jet of flames. With that, the first Arena match of New RFT has concluded, and Archon 2-6 is awarded 450 XP and 450 gold.
  4. Orcbolg continues to stay back in the hallway. "Didn't mean to phrase that in a hostile way. Just that you being a spellcaster explains how you survived when others didn't." In reply to Mark, "The longer any survivors are without assistance the higher chance of them not being survivors when we do find them. I'd like to at least approach the fort and look for anything obvious before we seek shelter."
  5. I'll go ahead and roll for Booth as it appears that Ensou is still away. Ensou, if you see this before I make an IC post feel free to roll IC and I'll base my post on your roll instead of mine. Booth Listen
  6. I added Thorn and Gaius' actions to Oswald's post. Sorry for the delay.
  7. The raptor once again charges at Archon 2-6 in a flurry of claws and teeth, attempting to take down the strange metallic foe before it is wounded further. Talon Att/Dmg Claw x2 att1/att2/dmg1/dmg2 Bite att/dmg
  8. Sorry I haven't posted for a couple of days, a pair of massive storms came through my area and I was constantly losing power and internet, and my parent's house partially flooded so I've been dealing with that. I'll try to catch up tonight.
  9. I can, but I thought Oswald was at the bottom of the initiative order? I think I got like a 3 or something lol
  10. Ouch, sorry for Tanu. Did Terry take care of the archer in the cave? If he has then Thorn and Gaius will probably turn around and fight the remaining fighters.
  11. Oswald Magismith, the Magical Artisan Oswald takes a second to consider their options before pulling a single coin out of a belt pocket. Holding the coin aloft, "If you think that is the best course of action, I might still have a couple tricks up my sleeve. But the odds still won't be much better than a flip of a coin. I'll need about half a minute, maybe a little less. Think your wish can restore the forge by then, Lady Ukumalei?" Actions: Infusing Skill Enhancement (Craft [Weaponsmithing]) as a 3rd level infusion on Oswald's belt. Thorn will move to BL-25 to try and guard Oswald, and Gaius will take a 5' step up, and use his Pulse ability on the enemy at AU-25 to knock them back 10' to break up the enemy. 12. Talon and Claw are paired natural attacks with the same description in the rules. In this case, the talon is the big raptor claw on the feet, and the claw x2 is the hands. So this creature's attack pattern is a slashing kick, a couple swipes with its claws, and then a bite. Crit Threat/Dmg Archon 2-6 lands a massive blow on the burnt dinosaur and the dinosaur reacts by withdrawing to 100ft away from Archon. Deinonychus Initiative 15: withdrawing, damage taken 19
  13. In the hallway the party comes across 3 doors, the south facing door is carved stone that portrays a dragon like fish swimming in a pond. The door is sturdy and locked, but does not appear to be magically reinforced. The north facing door is wooden and not locked, but peering insides reveals the only contents of the 20ft by 20ft room are rocky debris. The final door, westward and at the end off the hallway, is wooden with iron banding reinforcement, but doesn't appear to be locked. OOC: I'll take a listen check here.
  14. OOC: Yeah, that's right. Sorry, I was typing that up while talking on the phone. I also just realized one of those claw attacks was a natural 20, are living constructs vulnerable to critical hits? Reflex Save The reptile isn't taken by surprise the second time, and manages to protect itself somewhat before once again closing on the construct. Despite the barrage of attacks, it only manages to land one of them. Talon Att/Dmg Claw x2 att1/att2/dmg1/dmg2 Bite att/dmg Deinonychus Initiative 15: attacking Archon 2-6s, damage taken 8
  15. OOC: So while the rules didn't and still don't spell it out, the 2 turns worth of actions to prepare were always fluffed as happening in a ready room before being teleported into the arena, and the player didn't know what he was fighting until their character was teleported. But anyway, I'm going to go with this post, you deal double damage with the readied action attack, and then a separate, normal damage AoO as normal for an opponent leaving your threatened area. Also, no, it doesn't have reach, it is medium sized. I also fixed why the bite attack didn't work, fixed it but the attack missed anyway. Archon 2-6: Ancient Claws Reflex Save The dinosaur is taken surprise by the sudden wave of fire and takes the full brunt of the attack. The creature closes in on Archon 2-6 with a 5' step and again attacks with his maw and other sharp appendages. Talon Att/Dmg:1d20+7; 1d8+4 Claw x2 att1/att2/dmg1/dmg2:1d20+4; 1d20+4; 1d3+2;1d3+2 Bite att/dmg:1d20+4;2d4+2 Deinonychus Initiative 15: attacking Archon 2-6s, damage taken 4 Archon 2-6 gets an AoO on the deinonychus.
  16. OOC: Sorry for the delay. The theropod ignores the danger of the spear and charges in, talons and claws bared. The animal is quick and makes several attacks from its limbs before going in for a bite. Talon Att/Dmg Claw x2 att1/att2/dmg1/dmg2 Bite att/dmg: 1d20+4;2d4+2 Deinonychus Initiative 15: charging Archon 2-6s, damage taken 0
  17. Only PF SRD and Archives of Nethys Pathfinder feats are available for consideration. There are ways to get dex to damage in 3.5, but they are situational (Crossbow Sniper feat), or require PrCs and/or specific races.
  18. Thorn is pretty much built as a dedicated flanker, and is intelligent so if you call to him he can probably reason to help you.
  19. Refluffing animals as similar animals is pretty par for the course. Just take a look at the extended familiar list and it will say a bunch of birds "stats as raven/owl" and some of the rodents "as rat/dire rat". In some of the modules I've read through it says to do the same thing for some of the animals.
  20. Archon 2-6: Ancient Claws Archon 2-6 finds himself in the Arena, the first challenger of the new era. As described the Arena is circular, and wide enough it would take him a fair bit of time to sprint from one side to the other. His opponent is a feathered, bipedal reptile about the size of a large wolf or dog, and is about 50ft in front of him. It screeches and flares out its claws at the sight of him. Initiative
  21. Orcbolg stays back in the hallway, allowing the rest of the party to do their search. "You forgot to mention you were a spellcaster. Probably comes in handy being a solo traveler."
  22. That's fine. You can check the first post in this OOC thread for a loot table and who is hold what loot. I suppose I can also start to track things bought by the players over the course of the mission there as well.
  23. Yeah, does the same for me the first time I try, but clicking their character sheet link again usually actually brings up their character sheet.
