  1. Hey guys, long time no chat. I'm not trying to bungie-jump back into the game, but after the time spent together in the first adventure, I wanted to wish ya'll a merry chrissie and a happy new years, though a little late. 2022/2023 was very rough, so I wanted to apologize for seemingly coming back only to waste your time again. However, things are finally looking up, and I hope the same goes for everyone here and that ya'll have a great game and fun times! Take care ya'll and best wishes!
  2.   Btw, I put Sabba at the farms because, at least by my interpretation of the last time she was seen over on MW, she was there to "learn more about the local farmers/community".   What information has she gathered towards this end?
  3. She'll have to make a spell now that combines Grease and Lightning Bolt.   This spell is automatic...it's somatic...its veeeerbalomatic...why it's Greased Lightning! *Zap-Splat!*   ...sorry, I'll show myself out.
  4. I didnt say she was any good at it lol. Her wailing would sound like cats screwing, but damnit she's got heart.
  5. Haha, I thought it was rather fun myself :P. Just wait until she starts singing that if you care to find her to look to the western sky.
  6. She's a lvl 1 magician so at this point she doesn't really need much, just restocking her sling ammo and adventuring supplies. If we make it to the middle levels onwards then she'll become more expensive, but until then she's relatively low maintenance.   I dont have access to the book atm, so unless we were all going to buy horses and saddles etc, she should be fine for now.
  7.   From my interpretation of things in the old MW thread and this one, Sabba took aboit 20gc with her when she went to stay with the farmers and learn about the local area. The rest went into the group kitty.
  8.   Sabba From the outside looking in, the life of a farmer was one of repetitive drudgery and backbreaking labour. Up before sparrows-fart, slogging ones guts out through mud or summer heat, dealing with stubborn animals that would rather lay in the shade than pull a plough and hacking away at tall storks of corn with a scythe, day in, day out, week after week, month after month, year after year, until the icy touch of the reaper came for ye in your sleep. If you were a guest, however, farming life was wonderful. The air was clean and freshly filtered through the waving beauty of emerald trees, each one sprouting amidst the peaceful woodlands that surrounded the verdant stretches of meadows, crop rotations and grazing herds. One could sit upon the porch with a drink upon a stand, book in hand and read each sentence to the gentle chorus of birds that shared their opinions with each other through song and movements of their little wings. What's more, the food was as fresh as one could acquire, with even dishes remiss of meat fostering a hearty and delicious event to gleefully anticipate awaiting the end of a hard days work. Such is the blissful situation that Sabba the Magnificent found herself occupying: all the benefits of farm-life without any of that back-breaking 'work' that went along with it.   And so she was, upon the porch, drink at hand and book in her lap. The gentle melange of farmland sounds would roll past her to the choir of birds, and all seemed well with the world as she inhaled another lungful of fresh, country air and peered across the written words of her tome. Relaxed as she was, her elfin ears pricked up when she heard the sound of hurried footsteps clamoring across the grassland and towards her position, a raised look from her catching the culprits as two of the farmers young children bounded up to the woman. "Miss! Miss! Miss!" the pair expounded, excitement alive in their big eyes as their little bodies panted from the sprint and oscillated with energy. Though their hands were dirty and their faces a mess, nothing could tarnish the sheer happy warmth beaming through their grins. "Yes?" "Look - look! We found some by the river!" The children proceeded to hold up a bottle - a rarity this far out - its contents filled with liquid. Reaching out to receive it, Sabba drew the item up for inspection, her keen eyes spotting movement within the cloudy substance. A smile came to her lips. "Ahh - Acris crepitans..." the Hyperborean announced down to the children, puzzlement swelling in their eyes. "Tadpoles. Baby frogs." "Yay!!" they both shouted and laughed before spontaneously erupting in a wrestling match over ownership of this treasured possession. Once the match was completed and further dirt and grass had been accrued by the little ones, Sabba peered down at them before handing the bottle back to its small owners, who promptly giggled, laughed and sprinted off again in search of further adventures in the day. Snorting lightly in amusement, unable to suppress a smirk as she watched them disappear, Sabba shook her head gently and returned to her book.
  9.   I think you're right that things are a PITA.   I also think Malk is right about needing to get used to it.   Unfortunately it's getting from the former to the latter that's the difficult terrain that deters many.
  10. Muireach Macc Cillian, Thief 1st lvl deceased Cause of death, fell after a critical fumble to fall while leaning over the edge of a collapsed chamber while fighting a python.
  11. Hah, it was worth a try ;). I'll copy her stuff over today.
  12. Hey all :). Yeah, sorry about kind of falling off the face of the world there. The same old tale of woe mixed with the site moving and me never really liking the new baldr place. But if you'll still have me around I think I'm fine to be posting regularly now.   But the dice were giving me such a great run /sarcasm. You're telling me there's an end to the Celine Dione concerts :p? Heh nah it's all good, I don't mind. If I'm allowed to be totally opportunistic, I could just roll another couple of stat lines and make a new char, but keep Sabba in reserve if they're no good lol.
