  1. Radha T'Iisby One moment Radha had been trying to process the sudden and near effortless destruction of her planet's defenses, and in the next the world melted away in Jessie's arm's. She felt her cheeks light up, and saw her Battle Buddy flash an alert at her sudden heart rate increase. Her brain sorted out the jumble of words and rare smile as Jessie ducked out the door. "W-Wait!" She said, several moments too late.    Nowhere was safe anymore, really. And she wasn't going to be left behind. Radha tried to assess what all from the security office she could carry, and realized it would be a decent amount with her renewed leg. She grabbed one of the paramedic bags and dumped it out, nervously sticking one of the smaller shotguns and ammunition in the now empty bag. She hadn't been raised explicitly as a pacifist, but this was the closest she had been to any firearms outside of fiction. Thanks to the upload she could sense the muscle memory of unloading, loading, shouldering, cleaning this and many other weapons. But really she- Radha- had never held one before.    Radha then grabbed the other paramedic sized bag full of much more familiar medical supplies, and jogged awkwardly after Jessie. She was very thankful for the Battle Buddy's ability to provide a clear route out of the underground passages of the stadium. On the pitch, her squadmates stood around two imposing metallic containers and smoldering turf. "Alright fearless leader, what's next? Do we don the armor, make our stand? Hide? I don't think what we've got here will make for a very long last stand..."  HP 13 / 13 | AC 9 Saves | Physical: 12 | Evasion: 13 | Mental: 12
  2. Radha T'Iisby Radha nodded quietly as Remy - Whiskey 6 - began taking charge. While waiting, she thought to pull information from her Battle Buddy on the Jaretuul. Were they sentient? Could they be reasoned with? The horrific information she found shook Radha to her very core, and she only came out of her stupor when the trio made it to the locked security door. "Thank you, Maia, for getting us here." She couldn't quite find the words for how nice and protected Jessie made her feel, but she could mention it later when they had a moment. If there would ever be a quiet moment again.    She let out a little laugh at Jessie's direct approach to their door problem, and found she was able to breathe again. "Well I don't have the code, but I am sure we could find a keycard around here somewhere. Especially as everyone left in a hurry. Maybe in some offices or locker rooms nearby? I can go check. I'll be back before you know it." Radha ducked down the hall, testing doors quickly and relishing the ability to move so freely with her newly repaired leg.    After checking a few rooms, a translucent KINETIC KINETIC KINETIC appeared across her vision. She shook her head, blinking strongly a few times. "That's just a wall, Battle Buddy. What are you going on about?" And then she felt the earthquake, and knew it wasn't an earthquake. She fell to her knees, and offered up a tearful prayer for the souls Jessia was about to receive.  Radha stood, and marked her location and where she had left Jessie and Maia at the door earlier. Or, at least she thought she had marked them. Was talking to "We're here," though I'm not quite sure where that is "And no luck yet, but we'll have it open by the time you get here, Jessia willing. Be safe." HP 13 / 13 | AC 9 Saves | Physical: 12 | Evasion: 13 | Mental: 12

  4. I was going to mention being worried about scrolling past a really long menu in mobile, but right now it has a little drop down menu on mobile that is nice. I think the sidebar nav will work pretty well!
  5. Radha couldn't help but let out a little laugh at Jessie's straightforward response in the midst of their great upheaval of thought and reality. With the laugh, she felt like she could finally breathe. There would be time to sort through things later, for now she could apply herself in mind, body, and spirit. Wiping the blood from her face with a corner of her scarf, Radha's eyes sparkled at the thought of finding a relationship that was truly and undeniably destined.   She looked up at Jessie, and nodded. Together things wouldn't be quite so overwhelming. Radha reached out her hand as she began mulling through the directives and orders. As she stood, she realized that she was currently feeling more shock than actual pain. In fact, she was feeling really great and even... limber? She shuffled to the end of the row of bleachers, and started down the steps before a realization froze her in place. She hadn't needed to hold the handrail to step down. And her legs even looked straightened out?    Radha rolled her foot around experimentally, then kicked the air. There was nothing- no pain, no inhibited movement. For once it didn't feel like she was actively fighting her limbs, there was no straining of tendon or complaint from her bones. Were there even still scars? She leaned forward, letting the whole weight of her body fall on just one leg as she went down a step. The action  didn't make her tumble or crumple. Radha looked over her shoulder at Jessie with a huge grin before flying down the stairs two at a time. Praise be to Jessia, giver of all things good!    Her revelry was brought to a close as she neared the gathering group in the concrete tunnel. It looks like Four - Maia Oberlun and One - David W.N. Kol - had already reached Eight, and were trying to talk him down. And the indicators for Two, Six, and Seven - Harry van Damme, Remy James Lacroix, and Tyse Rumanen were a cluster further up in the stands.  That was all of them, then.    "We're here to help." She said, both at the flailing Eight and David and Maia. The pair were moving with confidence and purpose, clear signs that they had been well chosen for their appointed task.  The fear of inadequacy loomed large, but she shut it down with an introduction. "I'm Radha, this is Jessie." It felt a little wrong, clunky when they all had this information already. But perhaps humanizing.
  6.    Radha T'Iisby The screams died in Radha's throat as the pain ceased. Well, the pain in her legs at least. She opened her eyes and looked up into Jessie's face, vision swimming from her current migraine. By Jessia, she was going to look like a complete idiot. It probably looked like she was putting on a show of hysterics! Radha blinked apologetically up at Jessie, trying to find any sensible string of words to start explaining herself. But then, she realized that the movement at the edges of her vision wasn't from the migraine. Small lines of text blinked in one corner of her eye, a small spinning circle in a different corner. She tried to look at them directly, but they remained just on the periphery of her vision. Once she stopped darting her eyes and chasing the text around, Radha realized she was able to make out what the words actually said. Jessie's face a stunning backdrop, she read the lines: HUD initialization: Complete. Activating Operative package.   Radha had never received what she considered a truly divine vision, but she had always imagined that it would be delicate and somber. Not like this. Not utterly overwhelming. Had her voice again been part of the screaming? Was this the breaking of the first seal of the scroll that heralds the end of days? Awash in information, Radha was slow to move when the assault to mind abated. Faces looked down, concerned, but she turned to find Jessie's. Blood streaked down her pale face where she had just so recently placed a kiss, stark and terrifying little lines. She reached out to touch the blinking three hovering above Jessie's face, only to find that it was a hallucination. Or was this part of her vision? ”Four Whiskey, Acacia, I will be assuming ground control at this time. Please confirm successful activation, and stand by for orders."   "I hear you, here I am." Radha said quietly, to the voice that did not seem so much like an angel's. To Jessie, she said "Are you going to be okay?" On some level, she knew that she already knew the answer to that question, even if she wasn't yet sure how. Jessie was Three. Three was green, and green was okay. Eight was yellow and not okay. "I think I need to find them, I think they need us." It was then she realized her voice was shaky, just like her hands. And much of the rest of her. Radha tried turning around to see if she could see where "Eight" was. HP 13 / 13 | AC 9 Saves | Physical: 12 | Evasion: 13 | Mental: 12
  7.    Radha T'Iisby Heart aflutter, Radha tilted her head to the side and leaned in just as Jessie turned away. Blushing, she stared down at her lap. Had she really managed to be too forward? Her? She thought that Jessie had been leaning in... She glanced up, and saw that Jessie was staring at the screen. Everyone around was, actually. And play had stopped? Radha tried to push through the nervous fog of emotions and steady her thoughts. What was coming over her today? She was such a mess. Time to see what was going on outside of her little bubble. Radha turned to look at the screen, and was instantly transfixed by the visual of the ship. A deep dark primal loathing knotted in the pit of her stomach. She had been avoiding the news since the initial sightings, even if she couldn't avoid the discussions surrounding them. Her pulse began to quicken along with her breaths as she felt her leg pain intensify. She could feel the lockbox in her mind straining against the flood of sensation and knew it wasn't going to be enough this time. Jessie stood, said something distantly, offered her hand. Radha reached for it, hand shaking. She tried to breathe a prayer of help to Jessia, Our Sovereign Lady, but only the first two syllables escaped her lips before the wave of pain crashed over her. "Jessi-" Radha breathed, before screaming just as she had when her accident first occurred all those years ago. Tears streamed down her face as she tried to keep her balance with Jessie's grip, but all Radha really managed to do was fall towards the black-clad beauty. With the white-hot pain igniting her legs, Radha hardly recognized the text scrolling across her mind's eye. Someone nearby yelled, "Status change! Local ground forces detected, updating strategic situation!"   Somehow it was even louder than her own screaming. If she had been more lucid she would've wondered what was going on. As it was, Radha felt small, helpless, and just wanted the hurt to stop. HP 13 / 13 | AC 9 Saves | Physical: 12 | Evasion: 13 | Mental: 12
  8.    Radha T'Iisby One moment and Radha was getting ready to join the crowd in calling out the ref's horrible judgement call, and the next she was in darkness. She blinked, but the world did not return when her eyelids opened. Radha remembered then the great storm that had knocked out power while she was staying with her great aunt Delni, and almost expected to see a bolt of lightning flash and illuminate the billowing storm clouds. Instead she saw nothing but darkness, as pure and dark as those moments between the lightning that summer night. And then she could see again, all at once. Time had passed- everything around her and out on the field was ever so slightly different. She realized that she had been holding her breath, and after a moment turned to Jessie to say, "I think I might've-" but instead of her own words Radha heard only static. Glancing around and over her shoulders, she wasn't able to locate the source of the noise. Turning again to Jessie, Radha tried to start talking again but sound itself began to diminish. She looked at the line of her jaw, the perfect lipstick, the stormy eyes. So this is what it felt like where no one in the world existed but the two of you? By Jessia, she had to be in love. "So you feel it too?" Radha asked, smiling warmly. She reached over to place her hand over Jessie's, and almost flinched away when she felt how incredibly tense the woman was. Maybe she had misunderstood?  HP 13 / 13 | AC 9 Saves | Physical: 12 | Evasion: 13 | Mental: 12
  9.    Radha T'Iisby Radha had thought that she was nervous, coming on this blind date, until she spotted the agreed upon signal from her other date- the other black rose. She almost missed it- her date was wearing a whole lot of black after all- and then felt terrible that she had made her sit on the Raiders side of the stadium when she was clearly a Guardians fan. The poor woman was painfully overdressed for the event, but Radha didn't want to make her feel bad about that either. She herself had tried on at least three different outfits that morning, settling on the flattering deep blue blouse speckled with gold that always reminded her of a starfield. Her gold and blue headscarf was technically official Raiders merch, given to her by her brothers a couple birthdays ago. But really, it was just impressive that she didn't have any dirt under her nails and that her pants were grass stains free for the first time in recent memory. Not counting attending mass, of course. Radha floated a few questions, and got in turn succinct (and somewhat thought provoking) answers. She didn't really feel like turning their first time meeting into an interrogation, so her pace of asking slowed down considerably after the first bevy. Ultimately, the pair had sat in amiable silence for a majority of the match. She trusted Teska's judgement in the matchmaking, even if it was going to take Jessie a bit longer than half a soccer game to open up. As the play progressed down the pitch, she tried to assess Jessie without staring too overtly. She thought through the list of "oh it would be nice if" she had given Triska after all the pestering... Quiet? Very. Tall? Barely taller than her, though admittedly the boots would probably give her an inch or two. Really she wasn't shorter than her, and that was the main goal. Alluring? Definitely. Yeah. Very intense. Strong? With the long sleeves it was a little hard to tell, but judging by her hands... Quite. A little dangerous? Really rather dangerous. Looking, at least. How Triska even knew someone quite this dangerous was surprising... But probably what she got from not being entirely serious with her criteria. But then, the pain in her leg finally became more than she could think through. She gripped the top of her knee and resisted the urge to curl up, wishing dreadfully that she was back in her apartment taking a hot salt soak. This morning she thought the pain was psychosomatic, with the date and all. Perhaps it was a fluke cold snap that even the weather station hadn't predicted. Or a big storm. Either way, her grip tightened to white knuckles as her bones recounted the story of their jigsaw reassembly. "Something's coming." Radha said to herself as she fished the painkillers out of her purse. Time to go up to the recommended daily maximum. Radha breathed deeply and compartmentalized the pain. A leg was just made up of muscles, tendons, bones and ligaments, after all, each with their own manageable complaints. Eventually she felt ready to offer up another question, and was thankful that Jessie didn't need her constant entertainment. "So... How long have you been a Guardians fan?" 12. For her healing focus, I latched on to the mental / psychological side of the description of the Heal skill: Quote: Heal: Employ medical and psychological treatment for the injured or disturbed. Roll it to cure diseases, stabilize the critically injured, treat psychological disorders, or diagnose illnesses. I don't imagine she would immediately be competent in addressing battlefield trauma, but she herself did go through an extensive healing / rehabilitation phase when she was younger, which would allow her to connect with those going through traumatic events. I could definitely see giving her Heal 2 instead of Talk 2, in which case she would be an actively practicing therapist / psychiatrist through the Church. There's some flexibility in the role she could ultimately fill. Right now she's more "give good and moral advice" than "prescribing drugs."  To maintain consistency with her background as currently written, I don't plan on increasing her Dexterity skill unless she finds some kind of mechanized external brace, cybernetic prosthetic, or genetic therapy that would restore mobility to her left leg. For her Work skill, I'll be balancing the skill level 2 descriptor: Quote: Level-2 Veteran expert, one respected even by those with considerable experience with the direction to make characters more in the everyday Jane category. Radha's Work represents her study and practice of Horticulture. The Church's gardens in New Ry-ur are limited in size, as space within the city proper comes at a premium, but are extremely well funded. Serving as an ordained Minister of Holy Jessia and a horticulturist, Radha became masterful at choosing and arranging plants in such a way as to allow the viewer to truly contemplate the Divine. Under her care, the church grounds became a living work of art for all seasons. She would also have some experience in the Church's greenhouse with treating diseased plants, understanding flora taxonomy, and using (but not maintaining) the hydroponic systems. --- Background Growth: +1 Any skill, applied to Notice X > 0 Background Learning: Perform (0), Talk (1) Hobby skill: Work (0) Additional skill points after character creation spent on: Heal 0 > 1 (2sp) Constitution +1 13 > 14 (1sp) Work 0 > 1 (2sp) Talk 1 > 2 (3sp) sp total spent: 8 Starting Credits: 400

In a burst of inspiration she insists that help around the garden, and little by little she sees fragile new purposeful growth in his life. She worries about him more than she should, and spends more than one sleepless night wondering if he'll show up the next day in her garden or in the obituaries Tensions soar as many misguided individuals foolishly reject the role of the Priestesses and Church. A few times on her walk home she's followed, but nothing bad ever comes of it. Radha prepares for whatever Holy Jessia has for her next. Radha is a patient, rooted woman with an olive complexion and loose dark brown hair. She can often be found quietly tending all manner of plants in the Church of Holy Jessia's intricate prayer and meditation gardens. While Radha knows that you cannot know Holy Jessia directly, walking the garden and the paths within mark one of the ways to begin developing an understanding of the Divine. She often acts as guide for those starting out on that journey, lending a quick and patient ear to any wayfarer with burdens to unload. Sometimes she gives advice or medical recommendation, but often companionable silence is all that is needed. She is an idealist, seeing foremost the best in everybody, and their potential capacity for good. Her few true resentments centered around her injury are buried deep, and bubble to the surface when confronted with her parent's lack of understanding, or in the bitter cold of winter when her leg aches more than she can ignore.
