dalamb Posted January 6 Clone Share Posted January 6 I'm not exactly a newcomer (I joined the original site shortly after it was created) but I've reached a new stage of life: retirement. For this site, the most relevant aspect of that change is that I might finally be able to spend as much time as I want on myth-weavers, instead of running into work emergencies, workload exhaustion, and all the other ills of having to work for a living. I haven't yet figured out the balance I want to establish between gaming, other hobbies, and "real life," but I certainly hope to be quite a bit more active here than I have been in the past, when I would be enthusiastic for a couple of months and then have to drop out for an extended period. cailano Posted January 8 Clone Share Posted January 8 Retiring while you still enjoy playing games is the way to win at life! Or so I've always thought. I've still got another 15 - 20 years before I'll know for sure...
dalamb Posted January 15 Author Clone Share Posted January 15 Thanks for your kind words. I realize lots of people are far from being able to retire - and that a lot of people expect never to be able to afford it. I'm just grateful I retired, maybe later than I should have, but definitely at a point where I can enjoy it.

dalamb Posted February 9 Author Clone Share Posted February 9 Thanks @Basil_Bottletop. It seems to be a little harder to find games than it was a year ago, but I've had fun creating a couple of characters. I'm contemplating reviving one of the several attempts I made at creating a game back when I was still working.
Basil_Bottletop Posted February 9 Clone Share Posted February 9 I think you missed the wave of Christmas Break games by a few weeks, but in just a short time there will be the wave of Summer Break games!
