Roy is the first to be greeting you with his customary cheer along with an insistence that you share your tale over at least one ale. And as you share what you will. Rolf is present as well, and looking over what seems to be the tavern's floor plan. Beside the fisherman, you will find Varon looking as serious as ever. Neither Rolf nor Varon offer much in reaction: the former nods mostly and grunts, and the latter doesn't do much beside asking a question or two about details. Roy, on the other hand, sits barely by the edge of his seat and looks ready to twist his helmeted head off by the time your reach the gallery, the thing that waylaid you there, and the voices in the darkness. Roy "I will wager fifty silvers that His Lordship will be fit to bite a table when he hears about the mirrors,'" Roy shares with you in a conspiratorial tone, having leaned in. "I know just enough about magic to guess those mirrors are going to be a pain to deal with. I don't suppose any of you managed to identify their exact destinations? I'm not saying I expect you to end up there but..." Roy pauses and shrugs. "Oh. One more thing? Might I have a look at that dolphin?" Roy examines the statue, either in hand or from a distance. He hums and hems for a moment, and then snaps his fingers, turning to Varon. "Varon? There was that... Culture something something, actor maybe. A few weeks back? Sounded weird and spoke music somehow? This dolphin is almost like out of that ex-hibiting they had?" Varon gives a slow and contemplative nod, which prompts Roy to turn to your group again. "Everything else we can move easily, including your plant, but that dolphin might just have a very special kind of a buyer. We could introduce you even if you want to have a go at raking in the gold yourselves, but be warned: they are one of those artful types." She was mostly unscathed by blood or other stains, and her clothing did not look quite as disheveled as the rest, but she seemed different somehow to anyone who knew her well. Leaving the actual telling to their resident bard, she sits back, sipping her wine and listening to the tale, a self-indulgent smile crossing her face when Macsen tells the part about the goblins. When the topic of the mirrors comes up, she sets her glass down, a strange gleam coming into her eyes. The mirrors seem to be portals to other realms, she says. We've identified a few of the "destinations," although we have not worked out how to activate them. Thankfully, she adds silently, her expression, and even her tone as she speaks, ranging from frustration to determination and finally to resignation. It may be too soon to jump into the shadow realm just yet. She won't list the planes she identified unless specifically pressed, and, once done with her wine, she would excuse herself to go handle some personal business, perhaps joining one or more of the others in the market district for supplies before retiring for the evening to rest and study her magic. Healer & Elementalist QUICK STATS: AC=18, Touch=12, FF=16 / HP=13/15 / Init=2 / Saves: Fort=4, Reflex=2, Will = 6 __________________________________________________________________________ As soon as the group arrives topside, Sister Elektra takes a few minutes to wash up after such a grueling trip down into the lands below the city and tavern. Soon returning to the table after her hygenic ministrations, the Dwarven holy woman is just in time to hear the storytelling of their trip and, more importantly, to down a few ales or so! When the amount of gold the group can get from the sale of their 'finds' from below is calculated, Elektra simply agrees saying, "Sell it," before taking another huge pull from her mug of brew. But when a special buyer is mentioned for the dolphin that the group recovered, the Elementalist reveals, "We plan to use a mending spell to restore it tomorrow." Then the Domain Priestess leans over close and whispers to Sarai, "It would be nice to investigate and identify that doo-dad's functions and powers before parting with it, you know, if nothing else so we at least get the best value when selling it." However, when the existence of the mirrors is brought up, Sister Elektra usually becomes quiet. I sure hope that word about existence of the mirrors to other planes does not get out generally, or it will spread like wildfire, the minister mentally muses to herself with a frown as she refuses to volunteer any information about the subject, at least not for free. Well, so far only we know where the chamber of mirrors is located, at least for now, Sister Elektra thinks to herself as she pours herself another mug of ale and says, "I wouldn't mind going on a little shopping trip about town either." Str: 11 (+0), Dex: 18(+4), Con: 12 (+1), Int: 16 (+3), Wis: 13 (+1), Cha:13 (+1) Shade sits back and listens to the tale and what Varon has to say about the dolphin. We plan on trying to repair the dolphin in the morning, but after that if you could introduce us to this artist, I would like to see what he offers for it. He will partake of a drink or two, but not enough to get drunk. And then will retire to bed and get some sleep so he is ready for whatever tomorrow brings. OOCTake 10 on all search checks for a total of 17 for both Perception and Search. Just in case he needs a new Appraisal check for after the dolphin is repaired, I added one. Pulling his notebook, Macsen scribing what they saw and encountered. Rough sketches of the statue, goblins and the corridor of mirrors. Finally finishing a page with a rough sketch of the dagger, Macsen nods along to discussion. "Yes it would be good to meet this artist. Please introduce us." As the party continues their discussions, Macsen nods in agreement at the talk of doing some shopping. "Yes it'll be good to get some more supplies that can help us traverse deeper."
