Anhotep takes a breather, while watching the merchant move towards him. He backs off from that worthy, wondering who to trust. Seeing no enemies for the moment, he decides to heal himself with a spell and save his channels for killing undead. A moment later, there are two Anhoteps once again as he uses his mirror image ability. The bruises on his neck fade to nothing and he appears as cocky and confident as he always does. "Stay next to him", he instructs the merchant, while pointing at Ramad, whose melee and spell abilities he had complete confidence in, before adding ".. and you're welcome."

Anhotep purses his lips, his expression one of admiration for the suggestion from Ramad, whereupon he nods whole heartedly. The company had likely made their name with this combat, but losing something valuable, even dangerously profane, to a distraction would detract from that. "Auctioneer, Curator, make yourselves known.", he purrsSounding like a combination of Jeremy Irons and Alan Rickman languidly, his voice easily filling the room, upon heading back inside, then casts Detect Magic and looks around.

The Story

The merchant rasps "Thank-you. Thank-you. May the gods bless all of you" in an appreciation.

 

As Ramad and Anhotep, reenter the auction house. Now the battle is quieted for a moment. Everyone can hear distant screams, yelling, and commotion coming from all different directions within the city.

 

From within the office, someone one in frightened voice yells "Are those monsters gone? Can we come out?"

 

Boom! The stage door to the storage room shakes from a powerful force. The servant on the stage rushes to office door, and opens it. .  Boom! The stage door cracks and shudders again. In moments, it will be no more.

Anhotep steps closer to the sound of banging, renews his copycat power and, seeing how far away Ramad is from the imminent action, pulls a wand and casts something. He gestures towards Attendant 1 in the corner.. "Run to Ramad.", he yells... gesturing towards where Ramad is by way of instruction.

Relieved when Anhotep's channeling destroys the last of the undead hands who were attacking the party, Raisin quickly cleans and then stows her silvered sickle after the battle and reunites with her colleagues.

When a loud banging occurs on a back door of the auction house and mention is made of a potential robbery, the Tiefling rogue quickly equips her fancy composite short bow as she moves to have a line of sight on the portal.

Description

Long jet black hair pulled up in a bun frames Raze's purple horns, which along with her purple prehensile tail, amber eyes, scaly skin, silver teeth and the occasional light scent of burnt Sulphur clearly mark the lass as a Tiefling. The rogue is wearing a black leather explorer's outfit which hides her magical mithril armor. Other than a fancy rapier and composite long bow. the rogue uses her heavy dark green cloak to conceal the bulk of her weapons, equipment, and other paraphernalia of her profession.

At first Ramad intended to question the workers of the auction house, but now it's more to corral them to safety. "Quick get in, and close the door until we deal with whatever is causing all that ruckus." he instructs, as he turns his focus on the noise coming from the southeast corner of the building. Once everyone is safely past him he moves to get closer to the southern wall.

The Story

The scarabs prepare for whatever is coming. Ramad grows larger due to Harsa's magic. The servant outside of the office runs in the office. The office is then quickly closed.

 

Crack! The stage door bursts open and out shuffles this lovely lady:

She shuffles towards the Scarabs. "Where . . .are . . . the . . .grave . . . robbers?" she snarls in a dry raspy voice.

Anhotep, dapper and seemingly unflappable, blinks for a second, looking perplexed for just a moment, replies with a "Uh which ones? So many to choose from.", his tone more explanatory than jocular. Raising his holy symbol, a sparkling blue scarab on a chain, once more he channels holy energy for the umpteenth time that evening. "The power of Khepri compels you..", before stepping back to put more distance between him and the angry Mummy.

Raisin momentarily freezes in place when a rotting mummy bursts into the room through the auction house's back door as a wave of fear washes over the Tiefling.

Nonetheless, being unfazed by the foul creature's presence, Raze carefully aims her composite short bow at the invading mummified undead threat and then she fires an arrow at the beast from point blank range but she completely misses everything.

Scowling in anger at her unexpected failure, the Tiefling definitely knows that she does not want the stinky abomination to touch her and, thus, tauntingly calls out in retaliation for her own failure, "Ewwwww Babe, you smell really bad," while the burglar quickly moves away behind her colleagues to a more distant location from the intruder.
