As in he follows his own heart doing his own thing in his own way. His way just tends to be a little more bloody. He thirsts for power and won't let much get in his way to attain it. He also wants to take over the world and rain terror over the masses. Why? Cause its currently in vogue. It's the thing to do right now. He really doesn't care if he succeeds or fails. It cause it's fun and everyone seems to be trying to do it. He enjoys booze and women and other fancies of the flesh. What really makes him different from some raging brute though is that he stands by his word. If he makes a contract, he won't break it. If he makes a promise, he'll keep it even at the cost of his own life. Even though he'd prefer to take someone else's instead. He is honorbound in his idealistics and while he has very few inhibitions or for that matter ambitions, he is very stoic about that which he believes in. Which is him, his honor and his word. Everything else just happens to be a tool to use towards those ends. Amicable, he'd actually seem like a good person, if it wasn't the sheer aura of evil that he radiates. A good sense of humor and a dry wit, he'd be just as good a fit in almost any troupe. Being born around the tribes of orcs, goblins and giant-types was never an easy experience for those of full blood status. Half-bloods like him are usually killed early. He proved to be a little more resilient than they thought. That and a little stronger. He learned many different ways of doing things in those camps. Many camps being made up of different disparaged groups formed during the war. Those that lived after the wars end however, while most became roving bands, many found spots to settle in with very little influence. If you thought that folks settling down would be a good thing. That maybe, quite possibly they might do something different and good. You were wrong. Very wrong. Horrible conditions made life difficult for him for a long time. He took what he could and rose through the ranks, eventually becoming noticed by one of the few dark knights (alive) roaming the land. Death comes to all eventually. Even those with the regenerational power of trolls. He learned of a way to transcend death and seeks to control it. Swordmanship combined with the will to control and the regenerative power of a troll makes for a fearsome enemy, but just as fearsome of an ally IF one where able to strike a deal. Or if it is interesting enough. He continues to hone his skill and slowly build the power to do what ever his heart desires. Or some heroes stop him. Which ever comes first. Think Robert Carlyle. If you don't know the name, look him up. Well worth it. Thought process:: Something I hadn't done before is what do I see this character as. He is the BBEG. The one everyone fears yet no one tries to attack for fear of what he might do. He is also a deal-maker. Honest to a T and refuses to break a deal once made. He does tend to follow the vices, but which ones I'm not sure yet. He has no problems with working with various people of various alignments with the exception of the good-aligned paladins for obvious reasons. Then again, they have their uses as well..He's laid back when he wants to be, yet can be very aggressive when provoked. He is basically the guy that no one wants to work with, but does because of results. He is mean and doesn't know what a conscious is. Is will to do anything to get the job done. This character was originally intended for the Let me tell you a tale group. Since the silencing of that group there though, I find this character too good to allow to the way of lesser characters. He's not ready for it yet and neither am I.

Thought process:: Something I hadn't done before is what do I see this character as. He is the BBEG. The one everyone fears yet no one tries to attack for fear of what he might do. He is also a deal-maker. Honest to a T and refuses to break a deal once made. He does tend to follow the vices, but which ones I'm not sure yet. He has no problems with working with various people of various alignments with the exception of the good-aligned paladins for obvious reasons.
