I somehow interpreted the situation so that communication does not penetrate whatever illusion the others are still under. Ooops. Let's just say that Shaun was so shocked by what he saw coming into the "kitchen" that he initially completely missed or subconsciously refused to hear what Dalia was saying. I think that's a thematic way to cover my butt here. Edit: I edited my post lightly to replace the mention of Dalia and Ysabel being "silent" with Shaun seemingly being so distressed he does not react to her words.
