In the chaotic melee he can't quite make it, he moves to allow another person in and tries to bash the goblin with his shield as he moves "Yelling isn't helping!" The Eyeball Kid Posted November 19, 2023 Author Clone Share Posted November 19, 2023 (edited) Ander's sword still fails to find purchase on the goblin boss but he manages to get in a good hit with his shield which knocks the creature to the ground. The goblin drops his scimitar and grovels on the ground, whining in Goblin, "Tartalék Errk! Errk segít!""Spare Errk! Errk will help you!" At the same time another goblin comes running in from the left branch tunnel deeper within the cave. The sound of the water masked his approach but, since Eireann and Amilee are keeping an eye in that direction, he is spotted and can't make a sneak attack on the group. Since Eireann is blocking the tunnel mouth, he runs up to the elf and slashes with his scimitar, scoring a wicked cut across his ribs. The way he keeps looking back down the tunnel makes you think there may be more on the way. Apparently emboldened by the prospect of reinforcements (or afraid to be seen surrendering...), the goblin boss grabs up his scimitar and scrambles to his feet, slashing at Ander and managing to get up under the warrior's armor. A second, much more reckless attack follows, which Ander easily deflects. He flexed his core to staunch the bleeding and minimize the wound as a whole. He was about to criticize the goblins poor aim when it... no longer existed. These youths were well good at the kill'n business. He turned to give them a well earned 'ata-boy' when he saw a number of whiffed shots. "If your going to shoot at us at least hit something! Dont be so cautious that you... MAKE A HOLE!" Even as his teacher sence tingled, he believes that Ander probably missed again, he watched the goblin carve into Eireann. "NO ONE HURTS MY STUDENTS BUT ME!!!" He charges forward, deftly moving around his wards, dropping a shoulder as he reaches the Goblin and aiming to propel himself into the small creature like a battering ram. The hapless creature has no chance before the ancient elven juggernaut, he flies back five feet and lands with a thud in the middle of the stream. A moment later, two more goblins come around the corner the first emerged from and stop short at the sight of the frenzied elf looming over their companion. He moved over to the cave entrance and leant against the cool stone for just a moment. He dabbed at his wound with a frown. The arrow flies true and catches the creature in the throat; he goes down with a horrible choking and gurgling. Elberen casts her cantrip and the bell rings dolorously once more. The goblin boss grabs his head and cries out in pain, a gout of blood exploding from his nose, but he is still clinging to life, if seemingly barely. He is looking around wildly, seemingly searching for a way out of the predicament he finds himself in. Gil ran back as it seemed more goblins were attacking. He lunged his blade forward trying to pierce through the wounded goblin and end him. His blade pierced the goblin, and Ander pushed him off of the blade and to the floor with a wet THUD. "Gil sir! Wait for me" he said running after his former teacher. Amilee's excitement grew. Like a hunger fueling some dark sinister part of herself- a part of herself she would never ever wish to acknowledge but in the moment couldn't even begin to deny. The romanticized ideals of heroism clashed with the nature of a bloodthirsty fiend- and the longer the battle was fought, the stronger that fiend became. Amilee made a quick dash forward, her wings launching her forward just enough with a single beat to clear the stream of water. Her hooves slammed down in front of Elberen as her wings flared out to block the way towards her and Eireann. Longsword and orb still in hand Amilee once more growls out the infernal language as she summons the burst of flame eldritch flame- trying to finally snuff out the goblin's life- though an unexpected stagger from the creature likely causes it to slam into the ground next to it. As the creature slumps to the ground, Amilee's eldritch bolt soars past and slams into the ground. Ander then turns, calling for Gil and slams into the goblin facing him but the creature's low center of gravity helps him out and he stands his ground. There's enough light coming in through the entrance to provide dim light for Ander where he is, but he's not able to see very well here. Annoyed by the human's intrusion, the goblin turns his attention from Gil to Ander and stabs but the blade is turned by the young warrior's armor. Looking over at the goblin shooting arrows, he growls in Goblin, "Mit csinálsz? Engedd szabadon a rohadt farkasokat!""What are you doing? Release the bloody wolves!" The last remaining goblin turns and runs up the passage to the left but a moment later comes tumbling back down in a cascade of rock and dirt as part of the passage apparently gives way.
