Very good! @Harding and @Civit - feel free to create a private thread with the two of you where you can rp stuff together. No need to invite me or NE, we can see it since we're the GMs.

Rules: In these side threads, you will have almost full creative control. If you want a clarification around campaign timing or somesuch, or want to figure out what kinds of scenarios might be relevant, feel free to tag me in a post and ask, but this allows each pair to roleplay together while they are off-screen.

It will be freewheeling, so I may pitch in an OOC comment along the way, but I'll mark it as such if there's a scene getting played out. The goal is getting the feel of writing your characters in a solid, believable way, improving the strength of friendship each group will have while you are off-screen, and giving you material to refer to in the main thread that may or may not get explained since no one else (but the GMs) will be in on the reference.

🤘

I've already got lots of side thread ideas:

• We should have Gnome better
• Everybody Gnomes
• Gnome-in-culture
• I just want Gnomebody to love

...Gnonna stop there for now.

The Gnome-Mobile,

The Gnome-Mobile,

We're hunting for Gnomes in the Gnome-Mobile.

Sooner or later we feel that we'll

Find where they are in the Gnome-Mobile.

You poor deprived child.

Fun fact: in the sequel when Herbie gets the army of VW bugs, my aunts car was one of them. She had my brother and I convinced the car really did drive itself by magic (she even did the steering with her knee trick to convince us... hey I was 9 and my brother was 5 so cut us some slack)

If youbliked Darby Ogill, Herbie or Witch Mountain (the original) it's in the vein of those

I grew up with Darby O'Gill; the Banshee was the most terrifying thing in existence for my siblings and me for a while.

The really scarey thing in Darby Ogill was Sean Connery singing

Banshee... spectre... same thing... sorta

Maybe he failed a mission, and now he's ''Bonded'' to the world of living until he finish it, hence his role in the Gnome-Mobile movie.

Wow. It may come as no surprise here, but I have a bit of a Disney fetish. So there's an approximately zero percent chance that I've never watched The Gnome-Mobile, and 50/50 odds on having read the Upton Sinclair novel.

So can anyone then tell me why I HAVE NO MEMORY OF THIS?
