Papa Bear

Slowly closing in on my crunch so yes interested enough to come back with another dumb question.

@Papa Bear Since Speed 4 is mandatory and we're mucking with Initiative do we still pay 20 points for it? Also are there any Everyman Skills or other freebies for the setting?

Yes. I just went with standard points for builds so people would have had to spend points for the whatever speed out of the same pool

Deduction

native language (4 points’ worth, includes literacy)

paramedics

Transport Familiarity: small Motorized ground vehicles

Area Knowledge: home country or region 8-

Except for the Professional Skill, all Everyman skills require an 8- (8 or less) roll to be successful. There is no cost discount for buying the 'full' version of an Everyman skill. The rules are on page 22-23 of the Champions Complete book, if you have it.

What is free are things like Cell Phones and stuff that virtually everyone has, including a car (though it's used, maybe a few dents and scratches and nothing too fancy... But transportation and housing appropriate to you wealth level

I'm trying to get the same output format from Hero Designer 6 as they others are using. I found one that's close, and have it on my computer as an html file. But how do I insert that into a MW post?

I tried the 'source' button, which I've used before. But html is the wrong format for that.

I tried the 'code' button, but when I select all of the html code and paste it in there, it just shows the html code instead of interpreting it.

hmmm... source has the HTML coding in the picture. That annoys me that HTML doesn't work in it.

OK, my current problem is that I'm on a new computer from the one I used when I made my last champions character and posted it up here. (the one 'example' i posted was cloned). BUT what you need is an export format (Tools -> Get New Export Format) This will take you to the Hero Games site where you can download the many export formats. Somewhere in the is a BB code format (I think, if I remember correctly). You can use the "random button" (the one that looks like random on your playlists) that allows insertion of BB code into your post.

I really wish I was doing this on my old computer (but this one is WAY better) because I had things already set up, now I have to figure it out again.

Hopefully someone else has the export thing down.

You know what... I think I had to open the saved export file in a text doc, then copy all of that and put it in the post. Boy it would be nice if you could just copy and paste the output.

Things are way more advanced here than they were when I was playing that champions game... maybe not WAY more, but its live now and it wasn't then, it was still beta MW. SO, who knows.

OK... Got it

You have to set the export file (Current Character -> Export -> Set Export File)

The menu that pops up has a list of files on your computer on the left (Ignore that unless you've downloaded some cool export file and need to find it) and on the top right 'window' will list two default. If its like mine, the top will be the old three column and the second will be like the one I just posted above.

Click the one you want to use.

Then go back to Export -> Export to File

This will allow you to save the sheet as an HTML document

I don't know if you can just copy and paste it yet or not, I'll try that after I post this. I doubt it. At least that didn't work previously.

However, open the file using a txt doc. I used Note pad. Copy and paste it inside that source button's popup window. That should work (it worked for Fred above)

Oh hey, wow! it did work. You can just open the HTML as a web page now and copy and paste it here. That's what I just did above (not two above, that was the txt doc)

Oooo this will make things a little easier.

Hello Everyone!

Yeah, system virgin here. Think I got things figured out except for the Powers. Even then I think I have the basic concept, just having trouble with specifics. So if anyone is up for swinging through my lab I'd appreciate it.

I also don't have much experience with any of you so that question is hard but seems a good time to work on character connections at least, see if anyone wants to hook up that way.
