image.png.35871e41e2bfe406e8d2af04abd38718.pngIt's dark. Iodas feels around the corner and along the floor. The tiles have a texture, as if they are depicting skeletal faces. The air is dry and a layer of dust can be felt. It seems like it may open into a wider room.

Dianora feels along to the west and it seems that the hallway keeps going.

image.png.7fee90caaf8d9ff20169a6e1700ffbf8.pngYou carefully make your way into the chamber, shuffling your bare feet along the grizzly tiles until you encounter debris. You come down to your hands and knees and sift through it. Dianora's hand brushes against some metal. She closes her hand around it and it is the hilt of a bladed weapon. This spurs further investigation and you are each able to find a scimitar and a small shield. Each is rusted and corroded, and the shields are dented but they provide you with more confidence in the dark dungeon. Also amongst the debris you found several skulls and other bones.

The chamber seems much larger than you can suss out without a light. The howling of the old woman continues.

image.png.72e39255be264dad33231d41ec364492.pngYou heft your newfound armaments and slowly make your way further down the hall. To your right about 10 -15 further is another opening. The floor feels similar to the previous one, with skull shaped tiles. There is also a bend to the left just beyond.

The painful screaming has stopped.

image.png.e4a18f37e1acd7a9e7a67be7aaee4c25.pngMuch like earlier, you feel along the walls and it opens into a large chamber. Your feet feels stabs of pain as you step on the occasional bone fragment so you feel around and once again find skulls and other bones, as well as a couple more rusted scimitars and dented shields. But this time you feel an opening about fifteen feet beyond the opening to the room. Around the opening is the debris of rocks and dirt, and it certainly feels like this opening is not worked stone like the rest of the halls you find yourself in. This tunnel feels natural.

Dianora pauses as she feels the natural tunnel. "This feels different," she whispers. "Do you suppose it will lead us to safety, or deeper in the belly of the beast?"

You slowly and carefully step through the natural tunnel, exploring the dark passages as you go. It branches left and right, and you discover that the leftward tunnel ends in a dead end, so you go right. As you move further along, you notice that the utter blackness of the caves is starting to fade. You can barely see each other and the walls of the tunnel.

Up ahead you see a flickering reddish glow that seems to come from another branch of the tunnels on the leftwards side.
