image.png.ca3acd9ad381625ac226a4a6ccb92752.pngThe flickering glow is revealed to be caused by 3-foot long beetles, with glowing glands behind their heads shedding a reddish light in a 10-foot radius. They move about the cave aimlessly.

Also, very faintly from way further down the caves you hear a faint "Help?"

You need to make an attack and damage roll.

I didn't indicate the type of scimitar. The book says long, so d8 in one hand, d10 in both. For Dianora, she can have a short scimitar since the situation is bad enough as it is.

@Rudolf if you want to reroll that with a d8 one handed or d10 two handed that is fine.

image.png.a8cd4fc06a41fa9f733590f0ad1cea90.pngWithout delay, the warlock slices open the abdomen of the fire beetle, then you two drag away the body before the others further down the cave react. After some careful hacking you are able to remove the glowing gland.

You now have light. You are at the 8. You could see several more glowing fire beetles up the passage on the right (east). The "Help?" sound came from the south.

Dianora giggles at Iodas display, delighted despite the circumstances. "A resourceful one, are we? I like you." When she hears the cry of help, she curiously moves in that direction.

image.png.a944d341a68b449ad90843eb011dc87b.pngAs you travel, the red glow of the beetle's sac lights your way. The tunnels have been gently sloping upwards, toward the surface. Eventually, you see a blue glow coming from up ahead. The tunnel widens into a larger cavern which opens up beyond slender limestone columns. You stand at the top of a five foot drop off.

Within the southern portion of the cavern you see a patch of spongy, cyan-glowing mould. Suddenly it quivers and a sound very similar to the word of a child saying "Help?" emanates from the mould.

image.png.8e161aa13f3aa00d985bdd4b34c700dd.pngYou drop down the five feet and sprint towards the opening. You have to step in some of the goo as you make your way and it sticks to your feet. The cyan glow of your feet mixes with the red of the fire beetle sac to form a purplish glow. As you round the corner, you hear a slurping sound mixed with a Help? Help? Help? as a grey oozing blob starts to rise from the muck.

You travel down the tunnel and find yourself staring at a familiar cavern. It is where the snake tried to eat Iodás and where Muireach fell to his death. You are standing at the precipice. There is a ledge about 15 feet to your right and the bottom of the floor is about fifty feet down. You can't really see it, but the light of the sac reflects off the surface of the water.

Across the collapsed floor, you can see the tunnel you had originally came through not too long ago.

As you stop and catch your bearings, you look across the collapsed room and on the other side you see Luciana, Zalven, Zenobios, and a a Half-Blood Pict man staring at you in disbelief.

Go ahead and post your response in "The Brazen Bull" thread.
