I had been considering giving Mags expertise in Deception: Mags was trained as a conman, but he has little natural talent with deception. He's just naturally forthright and uncomfortable lying to people. However, I was thinking of expertise to reflect that, as he grows in his connection to Nezeris, he'd increase his ability with deception--so more of a divine boon rather than the result of the Master's training. But I dropped the (expertise in deception) idea when I saw that Dae was going to be the queen of deception--Mags would never shine at deception in her presence.
