As he does, there's a dull clack that sounds at the door's frame behind, opposite from its hinges, confirming his suspicion that the mechanism might relock itself after some time. After a few moments, Darhana comes up behind him and busies herself with jamming the door open with a crowbar. Azura carries up the rear of the trio, ready to react. But then, what did she expect? This is a group of hardened mercenaries and she's hardly a seasoned adventurer; why would they pay any attention to her? She would have hoped that Noriko, at least, would have been less preoccupied with grave-robbing, particularly when someone nearby is in need, but then Bianca admittedly doesn't really know her that well either. The whole thing amounts simply to making Bianca feel even more out of place than she already did, to the point that she doesn't even offer an opinion on the puzzle of the switches. As the group finally manage to get the door open, however, the wailing seems to draw everyone's attention again. "Well, at least it sounds like they're still alive..." Bianca mutters, trailing along behind everyone else. Hopefully that means that whoever it is is only injured, and not actively being murdered by skeletons. OOC I don't see the map much further (and moving doesn't lift the fog of war) so I'll just go in the direction of the wailing and move my figure on the map as soon as it's available. To the left is an immediate corner, turning down another 30-foot stretch ending at a door, plus another branch part way to the left. To the right, the corridor stretches about 15-feet before it turns a corner to the left. The whole place is unlit. There are a host of bones strewn on the floor here, many of which are cracked and broken. Amid the nonsense, Azura picks up part of the wailing, hearing distinctly the two words "angry bones" in between other incomprehensible syllables jumbled together as the owner of the voice continues to moan on. Down the other branch at the middle of the hall is another closed door. The immediate area looks so far to be safe as far as traps are concerned. Even though he currently stands at a normal size, he acts like he is too large to fit in the space. With every step he shrinks down, scrunching his shoulders and hunching his back in the confined space. Despite all that, or perhaps because of it, his attention is sharpened, his ears twitching at every additional sound that greets the group. "Don't like being inside..." He mutters as he follows, his head turning as he ducks down to keep his horns from scraping the stone roof over his head. Darhana Only As you check over the door and surrounding area, it is obvious to you that the door itself is locked, but you don't immediately notice any sign of traps. Perhaps notably, soon as you check the door though, the sound of the man's wailing goes silent, quickly replaced with the muffled tchack sound of what could be a crossbow being cocked.
