Raze Nae' Aire, Unchained Tiefling Rogue

spacer.pngQUICK STATS:  AC=24, Touch=16, FF=20 / HP=31/31 / Init=4 / Saves: Fort=4, Reflex=10, Will=4

_______________________________________________________________________

When Zelda manages to knock the fleeing thug off of his feet with the 'voodoo that she do so well,' Raisin realizes that she cannot close the distance between her and ruffian and still attack the fellow.

Calling out top Madame Zelda, Raisin grins and says, "I can't thump him this round, so try to keep up," just before the Tiefling rogue races forward right to the fallen thug drawing a fancy rapier on the way.

Placing the extremely sharp tip of the fine foil under the ruffian's chin while he lay on the ground, Raze bares rows of razor-sharp silver teeth and allows her prehensile tail holding an unknown flask to whip around the downed fellow's head.

After making it clear who and what he is dealing with, the burglar lowers her voice and whispers, "You won't be the first or the last I put down today. So, you wanting to surrender and live, or you want to just be added to the list of corpses, hun?"

"You good?"
Waiting a brief moment to get a response from Ramad, Dros moved off after the runner if the other responded positively. As he rounded the corner of the building and saw how far the guard had managed to get, the half-elf raised an eyebrow, amused.
"Quick to run, isn't he."

Only Ramad is now visible to Anhotep, everyone else having raced around the corner of the burned ruin. He felt confident his comrades in arms would apprehend the runner, certainly more confident than he'd felt in some time. He pondered how Madame Zelda had altered the dynamic of the company. Kif, one of this friends in the market used the expression.. 'she knows her shit'. It seemed to apply in this case, after the holy nightmare that had been the previous arcanes, especially Shel.

Leaning close to the surrendered thug.. "You're the clever one. You're going to come out of the other side of this, 'smelling of roses'.", he purrs, confidence personified.

"Now, others in your organization are going to come out of this 'pushing up roses' because they're going to get in our way and they won't be using saps. So, we get to take the gloves off."

"We're not here to wipe your gang out. We're here to recover what your gang has taken. When we get it, and we will get it, you'll still be around to pick up the pieces.. consider it a fast track promotion."

"So, to business, a priest came here the other day and disappeared. Tell me everything you know about that."

The Story

The running "guardsman" tumbles as Pearl's bolt of force slams into his legs. He stands up and steps away. Raisin comes after him while yelling at him. Between the distance and movement, it doesn't seem to affect him. The Dros goes around the corner to join the chase. Anhotep and Ramad stay with the other so called guardsman.

The surrendered guardsman "I have seen that priest." He looks at Anhotep. "Promise to let me go, and I will tell you whatever you want to know."

Quite done with all the running and feeling satisfied with having blasted a hole in that ruffians underpants, Pearl decides to take it easy.

The Story

Raisin charges the other guard. She misses. However he drops his weapon and throws up his arms in surrender. "I give up" he tells. Now that she is closer, he has that punch drunk look to him (he is stagger until he recovers some nonlethal damage).

The guard replies "You can slit Ekram's throat and then toss him off the highest ladder that you want.". He points to the southwest corner of building. "Go inside the building. In that corner, you will see a boarded over door. Find the release switch, and the door and boards will swing open. Go down the stairs"

"Watch out for the pit trip. Triggers are fifteen feet from the stair steps. Take the double doors to the east. Keep going east. Then you will see some sump wells. The priest is kept in one of those. Otherwise he might be in Ekram's room. Once your near those wells, you will see a set of double doors to north. That leads to his room. " After relaying his information, he ask "Can I go?"

Raisin smiles when the thug, who has been knocked silly by Madame Zelda's strange magical missile spell, drops his weapons and surrenders without a fuss.

Even though normally she would run the fellow through, she was in the City, in polite society, and in front of witnesses and, thus, simply accepts the punch-drunk man's surrender.

Marching him quickly back to rendezvous with the rest of the party and the other captured thug, Raisin stows her rapier and draws her bow as she moves a fair distance to set up a perimeter watch as he lets her colleagues handle the prisoner negotiations.

Examining the two men, Ramad doubted he could trust them, leaving them alive could prove fatal, should they be brave enough to attack from behind. Fortunately his companions outnumbered these two, and they already experienced first hand what everyone was capable of.

"Might I suggest you make your way to the temple of Pharasma, people are gathered there and seeking shelter until the roaming undead are fully dealt with." he says, "You will at least be someplace... safe."

The Story

Very much like a barfly stumbling home, other prisoner slowly shuffles back to the group. While his answers are less coherent, he doesn't say anything that conflicts with the other man's statement. It appears that neither man likes their current leader. They weren't going to be killed or torture to protect him.
