Leading his horse and walking infront, Yohan was deep in thought. His armor could be anywhere... but not in a dwarven tomb.

"I'm still thinking about that pressure plate trap with the ceiling stone fall... I have a feeling my armor could be there. It's not far from where I was being kept"

Yohan figured the orcs wouldn't make it easy for anyone to find their valueable gains. A trap such as that is discouraging ... which made Yohan want to try and bypass it somehow.

"It looked 10' across the trap there... is there anyway we could bypass it?" Yohan asks thinking out loud again, and rubbing his chin, deep in thought.

Thinking about his companions' remarks, Dolan thinks to himself for a moment before responding. "I could jump it with a running start. Jumping back across it could be a problem. Better to disable it and then rearm it when we're done so the orcs have a nice surprise. Too bad we don't have bait to lure them into it," Dolan said, still walking and watching for traps.

Leaving the crypt behind, Dolan leads you down the hallway which soon comes to a nondescript dead end at a wide, skinny barrel-vaulted hall filled with the deteriorating broken remnants of wooden casks and chests, but otherwise empty.

Dolan  

Human (Illuskan/Chondathan), Rogue


Dolan gives the room a quick search, though he suspects that anything valuable or even usable had already been taken by the Direlord tribe. Afterward, he decides to go back to the trap that Yohan mentioned. Dolan tries to temporarily disable the trap in a way that can be undone easily only moments later, hoping to avoid the problem of needing some way to jump back across the pressure plate without a running start, or of permanently disabling it and ruining the surprise for any Direlords who haven't found the trap yet.

A quick search of the duct covered hall reveals nothing more than the shattered wooden containers scattered over the floor, as Dolan has anticipated. It is becoming clear that between the original sacking of the halls and the more recent invasions, the halls have been largely picked clean.

Moving back the way you'd come at Yohan's suggestion, you stop to let Dolan try and disarm the trap the twins had set before the small chamber of the corridor. Unfortunately for Dolan, the twin's work is immaculate and a slight misstep triggers the trap, causing a rain of large blocks to come falling down from the ceiling above, several of which pummel poor Dolan who had to enter the space of the trap to tinker with the mechanical trigger setup. Pummeled, he painfully almost falls to the ground!

The collapsing stone blocks left Dolan badly hurt or so Yohan assumed based on the size of the stone blocks. The Knght of Aster did not hesitate to assist Dolan from the trap by holding out a friendly hand which he may grab hold of for support.

A radiance of light envelops Dolan's hand as he takes Yohan's and the healing power of Lathander passes from Yohan to Dolan, in an effort to soothe his injuries.

"May Lathander's light heal your injuries ..." Yohan prays with healing words (10 hp) as he assists Dolan from the trap.

Finwe cringes as the trap is set off. His first instinct is to help Dolan, but Yohan beats him to it and helps some of his wounds too. He glances at the pile of rubble to see if they could try to go over it, and then turns his attention to the hallways and keeps an eye out for trouble that might be attracted by the loud noise.

Hooded lantern with Continual Flame is hanging from his belt.

 

Kodo has scent so can detect them if they get within 30', but can only pin point them if they are within 5'. Unless he spends a move action concentrating and trying to locate the smell. Not sure if that is a skill or just a flat Stat check. I am guessing it would be Wisdom.

Dolan

Slowly recovering from the pain of the heavy rocks falling directly on him, Dolan feels a hand on his shoulder and a feeling of warm sunlight on his skin that seems to soothe the worst of the pain. Suspecting that he won't be heading up the stairs to face the Direlords for now, it narrows his list of priorities somewhat.

"Thank you," he tells Yohan before straightening his armor and fixing his backpack squarely on his shoulders again. "I'd like to say that's the first trap I've set off here, but that's not even the first stone-drop trap I've been caught in," he says.

Taking the remaining bruises in stride, Dolan moves north, glowstone and dagger once again in hand, and investigates the small rooms to the east and west.

Baldin

Human (Chondathan), Cleric of Lathander


Baldin winces at the noise of the trap before moving forward to heal Dolan of any remaining injuries that Yohan's prayer doesn't address. Afterwards, he will step back to watch behind them if anything comes to investigate the noise.

Qwynn wanted to move in to help Dolan but he was already getting the aid he needed. "Oh Dolan." He exclaimed as he looks about to see how bad his injuries were. He moves with his cooshee to the end of the line to hear if anyone is approaching. He takes with him their light source and points it down the hallway they came.

With the trap sprung he concentrates on listening to hear if anyone else might have heard the rocks fall. He will fall to the back of the line and flash the lantern and listen for an approaching party. I am thinking the long hallway running North to South with the light facing North.

A thorough search of the dust chocked room reveals nothing more than thick dust. It seems the twin's have a sense of humor about luring their foes, unfortunately for Dolan this time. As you all wait with baited breath, nothing seems to stir in the dark halls in response to the clattering of the stones on the stone floor.

The two chambers either side of the trap was something new, but something very old at the same time. The thick dust didn't make sense... apart from completely obscuring the floor that laid underneath Yohan noticed as he approaches the area.

'Didn't somebody mention this was a newer trap than some of the others...'

Yohan was not convinced there was nothing here... maybe my eyes are decieving me... Yohan closes his eyes and reopens them in an attempt to counter any llusions that may be before him.... 'Dust...!?!'

"What lays hidden beneath the dust I wonder ..." Yohan begins thinking out loud again.

Finwe takes a look at the dust at Yohans remark. It strikes him also as being strange that if this was a new trap, why was everything so covered in dust. He moves into the area near Yohan and scans the rooms looking for secret doors or other hidden items.
