  1. I'm pretty sure the same things apply as with the crafting. Provided there is no mechanical benefit to players/characters, people can set up a guild as a place to RP together with a specific setting and such. So, you can RP the progress of trying to set up a minor guild, ask people IC of the tavern, and eventually create a building. Perhaps it'd be an interesting place for some characters to retire from the actual games and still have a place to go sort of thing.
  2. I thought there wasn't crafting for other players but I can't see anything in the rules. Cause technically that can break WBL as well. Since the gold isn't leaving the character into the system, it's going to another character, Dragon's then would go above his WBL technically. I was thinking about doing something like what Rudolf said but in the same way as Dragon. If I had made my Artificer I was going to see about opening an RP thread for items but there'd be no gold/exp exchanged since it's just an RP place. Either way it's definitely something interesting for at least an RP place.

  4. Not in the same order as presented but.. The melee build character I mentioned was just something else that I had been thinking of trying to make as a though experiment and I couldn't find any other small size characters or smaller that would likely work. I didn't want to use another Pixie since I technically already had one in the process of coming together. Well, it's not as if you would be taking it away from me. Technically, since OG was completely a different site, run by mostly different people, different rules/power level/expectations/ect it's not like you gave me permission back then for a port. You allowed it because, as history showed, you had allowed some people to bring in old characters in a sort of legacy type setting. Understandable that you wouldn't want people to scour through the old OGRFT threads to see what other characters they may have had and then bring them over, then to request a full rebuild of a 'new' character as some kind of compensation. It's also my fault for putting an interest expression in for a game before fully being approved (since a lot of other things happened). Also, thinking back/looking back, since I mentioned it was a port over and linked it, you had auto-approved and we moved on from there. Realistically, I think she would need a normal approval/process like a new character to ensure ported characters still align with the new RFT here. My character (not counting class spells such as Sorcerer/Artificer) I have around 73 daily uses of spells (Pixie by itself at level 7 has about 45 daily uses of spells). Even without Pixie Noble I think it's still going to be an insane amount. I think it might be better to pull Sarah and not use her in all fairness since she was accepted originally different rules that aren't available to current players. Perhaps mention if you're willing to allowing pixie as a viable selection that the noble class is not available. So use this is as learning case of the rebuild rules, once you have those, I can look at perhaps doing something with Sarah if not just chalk it up to it not being quite the right fit for the new RFT. (Part of the reason since I had kind of did the silly thing in hindsight, I did the rebuild on the original sheet. Granted money and such didn't change but.. just going to leave it for now.)
  5. See I thought HooGrawr looked very familiar. I can't remember if I played a match directly with them, but I did remember the portrait that you used for the character. I also agree that the bit toned down RFT is a little nicer. Granted it's not as big as OGRFT but I think Myth-Weavers as a whole has done down in consistent users. Also 3.5 is an older genre and 5e seems to be doing pretty well.
  6. I think it's more on the "Bloodline levels count for all purposes related to character level" So for example.. Caster level still increases. So if you did.. Wizard 1 / Cleric 1 Wizard 2 / Cleric 2 Rogue 1 / Bloodline 1 You'd count as having Caster level 3 for both classes which would open for feats or PRCs that are based on your caster level without having actually put in the full amounts. Obviously, the 'later' you take a bloodline level, the more things that it could scale into. Obviously, I'm not overly familiar with Bloodlines, but I believe what Blue Jay is asking to change is that the one class affects two different classes giving them both a progression as if you had say.. Taken Mystic Theurge. I know you don't gain the spells know, spell slots, skills, or other things, but the fact is, it's 'double progression caster level of two different classes.' I suppose think of it like applying a PRC spellcast advancing and only picking the one class that's benefiting from the bloodline increased effects. Not to mention, sides are for us making things so I think Blue Jay would still argue on another example.. Rogue 1 / Wizard 1 Rogue 2 / Cleric 1 Rogue 3 / Bloodline 1 He'd suggest that only either the Cleric OR Wizard would have an increase of caster level even if they were on the same side. Also, if it's not my place to comment I apologize.

  8. Yeah, DM requested a possible change due to the nature of one of the Oscleamo classes which is fair. Not to mention Blue Jay had been busy so it's totally understandable.   9. This might be mostly for the RFT DM's, but I suppose it would be interesting to know general interest for such an idea. I was tossing up the idea of running a game here, but I was wondering if there's the possibility of doing something a little different in terms of the exp / rewards for the mission. Effectively I would be looking at running a Tower Defense or Unending Horde type mission if that was permissible. I would make the rewards say.. One level up (From three to four) but the actual amount of monsters would likely be higher than needed for a level up. More of a milestone level-up instead of the normal exp per encounter. Though I suppose it is possible to just calculate the exp, but I was thinking of making it increasingly harder and adding in other hiccups or so for the players.
  10. DivineDragons - Ascetic Mage isn't a bad idea depending how far you plan to go down either side. It combines Sorc/Monk for CHA -> AC, sacrifice a spell slot for +attack/damage equal to slot level, and continues to scale the AC bonus. It doesn't do much for the unarmed damage, but you could PRC into Fist of the Forest, Thayan Gladiator (Personally one of my all-time favourite PRCs) or some of the more caster ones (Enlightened Fist) since you'd have all the requirements from one side. Lots of good stuff to choose from.
  11. Hmm.. I guess I wouldn't say married to it. I understand that it is a lot of stuff going on there. Mainly so the number of daily uses of various excellent magic. I was mostly using it since it had been previously accepted and was still on the list of approved races. I suppose I should also ask... Is it Pixie + Pixie Noble (When you refer to Noble) or just the Noble portion of the class? As for other ideas, I mean since she's not approved I can just rework for whatever would be easiest for you. I was thinking of a type of character.. I think I was to mix Warblade/Swordsage with Iaijutsu Master and maybe using Abjurant Champion, but then I found there aren't a lot of decent full BAB / Arcane classes. Was thinking using the RFT rules and taking away the Maneuver progression of Jade Phoenix Mage... Or maybe swapping to divine caster instead. Ideally the character would have a base damage of 1 (Due to the negative strength) and make damage come from Quick Draw / Iaijutsu focus. Granted though, 99% of that is for question thread since technically petal is listed as a cohort but either way. EDIT: I suppose with a lot of rambling there.. I'm OKAY to scrap either just Pixie Noble (And leave the regular) OR scrap both and then rebuild her as something else with the free re-work. The petal was just another idea I had that would require approval. Or any other small + flying race that likely would have low STR as a kind of comical character.

  14. I have a pet cat who takes about 95% of my monthly income so they can fill the house with boxes :( If you need portable housing I may have something in your size. I think for now, you'll need to pull Sarah from the start of the story. If someone else would like to join feel free to take then. Else once I have something that works and won't hurt Blue Jay I'll let you know here and if still available bring her in.

  17. No, I think that's not a bad plan considering IC wise we don't have much else to work on. Terms of splitting up and such. Hopefully this will go better starting off not in captivity.

  22. Technically she's still waiting re-approval for the changes before she can go into a game. So if someone else wants to step up they can, no pressure at all. Sorcerer Castings with a few minor Artificer infusions. A lot of spell-like abilities that I'll use in moderation. Some invisibility at will and greater spells but I don't plan to use them fully each day. Main/only damage spell is Magic Missile with some metamagic fun on it.   23. OOC wise.. I think it's probably better to wait? Given the short time window of spending one day to outpost, a day of fighting, and a day to return we'd just be returning when they're scheduled to attack. They could attack earlier or later since we wiped out one of the cultist bands BUT by the same thought they may strike early since we escaped and they know there are several threats now within the village. Personally, I think it's a coin toss. Damned if we do, damned if we don't. Unless we do the unholy thing of splitting the party.. DUN DUN DUNN. (Not that I vote for that, lot of work for Rogueblade)
