Name That Tune!

Mindcrime

Fine, then it is back to Christmas songs.

Hint.  This one was written by an (in)famous mathematician in 1959

Christmas time is here, by golly
Disapproval would be folly
Deck the halls with hunks of holly
Fill the cup and don't say when

Kill the turkeys, ducks, and chickens
Mix the punch, drag out the Dickens
Even though the prospect sickens
Brother, here we go again

On Christmas Day you can't get sore
Your fellow man you must adore
There's time to rob him all the more
The other three hundred and sixty-four

Relations, sparing no expense, 'll
Send some useless old utensil
Or a matching pen and pencil
"Just the thing I need, how nice!"

It doesn't matter how sincere it is
Nor how heart felt the spirit
Sentiment will not endear it
What's important is the price

Hark, the Herald Tribune sings
Advertising wondrous things

God rest ye merry merchants
May ye make the Yuletide pay

Angels we have heard on high
Tell us to go out and – buy!

So let the raucous sleighbells jingle
Hail our dear old friend Kriss Kringle
Driving his reindeer across the sky
Don't stand underneath when they fly by

This is an obscure-ish song but I think y'all might know it...

He rides across the nation
The throughbred of sin
He just got the application
That you just sent in.

It needs evaluation
So let the games begin
A heinous crime
A show of force
A murder would be nice of course

The Evil League of Evil
Is watching so beware
The grade that you receive
Will be your last we swear

He saw the operation you tried to pull today
But your humiliation means he still votes “neigh”
And now assassination is just the only way
There will be blood, it might be yours
So go kill someone

So make the bad horse gleeful or he’ll make you his mare…

I’ll have to look up the name.

edit: oh it’s literally just bad horse chorus

edit the second: I was going to look up the name of Joss wheden’s brother and whoever else was a singer… turns out it’s all whedens.
