Dammit, I'm not going to let him die!

Not wanting to be the one to allow Dekmal to perish due to inaction, Elowyn throws caution to the wind and runs up to his fallen comradre, grabs him under the arms, and tries to move back towards the safety of the wagons as quickly as he can.

(OOC: Including a Strength check, just in case you need it)

Menador Mountain trail, Round 3!

Gabriel strikes down his Orc foe, Jocelyn delivers a strike to the Orc leader and Elowyn drags Dekmal to safety!

Undaunted, the Orc leader snarls loudly and strikes Jocelyn with his war-axe - just as his remaining ally slashes Valeros!

spacer.pngJocelyn of the Dawn

LG Human Paladin, AC: 2, HP: 2/7

All of Jocelyn's attacks until now had missed their target, and the paladin was getting anxious to contribute to this difficult fight and make a difference. So he raised his longsword once more and attacked the leader of the orcs; if he could take him down, perhaps his companions would not think little of him - and part of the glory would be his !

But once again, much to the paladin's shame, the attack missed entirely...

Menador Mountain trail (Round 4)

The Orc warlord pauses looking around then sneers at the adventurers saying something in Orcish, then he begins to back away from the party keeping his war-axe at the ready ....

ElowynHeadshot.jpg.0be5444dae600c85709cdeb01cfb330c.jpgElowyn the Elf Magic-User  (AC6 | HP 3/3 | MV 12")

Elowyn was never one for violence; he felt much more comfortable being well behind the "front lines" of any such activities.

Having rescued his comrade from the battle, Elowyn glances down at the bloody body of Dekmal, frantically searching for the location of the most severe wounds. He turns his head toward the wagon caravan and shouts toward the drivers, "Bring me cloth to bind his wounds! Now!"

(OOC: No skills or magics are involved, I'm just trying to apply pressure and stop the bleeding, until proper healing can be utilized.)

Having expended his healing prayers for the day, Merrick allowed the others to eye the Orc lord as he ran down the trail to try and recover his horse.  He did not want to have to walk the rest of the way.

Back on his feet, armed with his bow, Dekmal scans up the hillside to one side to ensure there aren't more orcs up there to roll things down on us.

Once his scan is complete, he will move to retrieve his sword and shield from where he dropped them before making the hike to track down where his horse ran off to when things got hairy.

Menador Mountain trail

Moving with startling aggression, Hall's sword smites the retreating Orc as he was peeking at the trail ahead, striking the fiendish warrior down!

"Huzzah! Abadar surely is with us!" yells the caravan drover as he and his son raise their arms in victory! With nightfall advancing, the party retrieves their horses and remounting, renew their journey along the jaggy pass along the mountain edge. Riding for roughly a half hour, the caravan comes to a fork in the trail, with the drover taking the passage to the left rather than proceeding straight thinking another Orc encounter on the dangerous outer edge of the Menador would be too risky. While not 100% sure of the detour, the drover was certain extending their trip a few hours at the most was lesser risk than being overrun by a larger horde of raiders.

Twilight had come after another hour with only minimal visibility that diminishes further by the minute! Then, the party smelled smoke and maybe ... food? Riding on into a narrow pass that only barely accommodates the wagons which opens into a tiny valley revealing a small gated village!

An armed watchman stands at the gated entryway and raises a lantern against the expanding dark, "Ho there! Where are you headed to?"

Hanging back a bit from his usual place at point, as he's still rather beat up from the run in with the orcs, Dekmal gives a call to the watchman after the group is hailed, "Just a small trader, heading Westerly."

He lets it drift off at that, as he doesn't think it's his place to go into more details about their employers business plans, potential trade partners and the such.  At least this village has a watchman out, a sign of a potential safer night's rest ahead.  At least safer from orcs...
