Bianca Only

The faint aura emanating one of the keys is unspecific. The other one at the statue is some kind of illusion.

 

Somehow, with some effort between the two, Bianca managed to point out exactly which key it was that was magical in nature.

40ft is 12m, which is doable to freedive to but not easy if you're not used to it.

"Got it," Darhana said, looking closer at the key, "now we just have to find the lock it fits on. Where was that other magic thing? The statue right."

She walked over to the statue and had a closer look at it, looking for a keyhole, just in case it was that easy. But she also looked for other things that might be interesting.

Pool Room

Holding the key in hand, Darhana takes a more detailed look at the statue, but notes no orifices into which the key could reasonably fit. That being said, the maiden being depicted by the sculpture looks like it bears the same visage as the one in the painting back at the entry hall.


By now, whatever there was before of the magical aura at the weeping maiden's statue is no longer detectable by the young wizardess.

 

On the south wall of this room, there are two doors.

Darhana followed Neskas to the doors for a second opinion.

"Indeed. These might even gain access to the same location we were yesterday via another route, if I picture the map correctly."

When they didn't find any traps, she would listen if there was anything behind them and then open the door to the east first (warning people to prepare if there was anything behind the door).

A quick check at the doors at the southern wall of this chamber indicates that neither of them are trapped, but they are both locked and yet the key in Darhana's hand does not open either of them.

"No graves and certainly no digging," Darhana said to Lars, "But if we continue through here, we need your expertise. These doors are locked and while we have a magical key, it's not for those doors. And while there's dozens of keys in the pond, I'm not going to fish them all out in the off chance that one of them fits the doors. If we move on here, we use the skeleton key."

Pool Room / Hall of Statues

spacer.pngAt this, Lars raised an eyebrow at Darhana, then moved closer toward the door in question as he made a sucking sound between his tongue and his teeth, saying, "Stand aside. Let the professionals handle this one."


The cheeky and confident grin gradually turned into a frown of frustration however, as the half-elf got down to work at opening the door.

 

Some untold minutes passed, interrupted only by Azura coming in and telling you that the weather outside is nice and that there doesn't seem to be any sign of anyone else around in the area.

 

spacer.pngAt length, Noriko pokes her head in with a casual, "Hey, you guys doing okay in there?"

 

Almost at that exact moment, a telltale clack sounds from the direction of the door, before it opens to a long corridor flanked by a row of human statues, set into alcoves on each side. Each statue holds a longsword out in front of it.
