Riverside Warehouse, 12:40 p.m.

Ironworks:

The metallic hero bursts through the rooftop doorway and making his way down past the empty cobweb-infested warehouse attic-storage space, Ironworks arrived at the lower level door! In the dimly-lit space, he could hear motion on the other side of the door, as well as voices shouting:

"I NEED MORE AMMO!"

"WHO IS THAT DUDE?!?"

"WE GOTTA FINISH OFF THOSE COPS!"

"HE'S A FREAK! AND HE'S DEAD JUST LIKE THOSE COPS!"

"LISTEN! KILL ALL OF 'EM - AND YOUR MONEY IS DOUBLED!"

Ironworks could hear magazines being slapped into weapons and rounds being locked into chambers --!!

Grigori:

The officer stares stunned at the angelic hero momentarily, then stammers, "Those perpetrators are trafficking illegal firearms, and who knows what else! We had an officer make contact and he was shot! Even with multiple units, for the moment they have us outgunned! But, we have backup on the way!" The cop can't help by stare at Grigori as various voices come across his radio calling for an ambulance and more officers ...!

Vendetta:

The hidden hero unleashes another blast at the gunman which strikes, sending him sprawling onto the ground - unconscious!

From across the alleyway, the cop the gunman was shooting at stands looking around for another target with his handgun aimed ...

Seamus McDougal, Secret ID,  Character Sheet

Seeing the officer ready to shoot at someone else, Seamus tells him the same thing that he told the other officer as he floats over him and becomes visible again. "You have officers down. Use your cruiser. Help them get to safety." Seamus says then reactivates the cloaking field and flies forward toward the back door of the warehouse. Time to take them from their flank. "We've got this" he says as the cloaking field takes effect.

Grigori:

The angelic hero streaked into the warehouse and was met by a loud explosion of automatic gunfire - none of which hit the sailing hero! A hail of bullets ricocheted off of the warehouse walls as the gunmen fired and yelled in reckless abandon!

Vendetta:

The cloaked hero flashed into the warehouse and saw several gunmen positioned around the space, eagerly motioning their weapons in search of a target - but not firing!

Ironworks shoves the door hard, trying to knock it off its hinges and into whoever's on the other side. One hand by the knob, hopefully to break whatever mechanism's there, one hand by the other side, to try to bust it off its hinges.

Ironworks:

Knocking the door off its hinges it sails into an open space crashing against a table knocking over caps, drink cans and plates of food! The hero finds himself in a well-lit unoccupied breakroom-style space with table, plastic chairs, refrigerator, microwave and other kitchen related appliances. The room door stands open revealing a fifteen-foot stack of wooden crates and an unmanned forklift. From the warehouse area beyond the door automatic gunfire echoes loudly!

spacer.pngIronworks glances around the room. When he hears the gunfire, we wastes no time in going charging out through the door to see what he can do.

As he goes through, he's looking around for the gunmen and trying to figure out where exactly the shooting is coming from.

Ironworks:

Rushing into the warehouse area the hero sees the fifteen-foot stack of crates to his left, directly ahead about 8m is an unmanned forklift, and about 8m to his right is a gunman with his back turned to Ironworks! On the other side of the forklift also facing away from the hero is another gunman - they all seem focused on the flying angelic guy who's streaking overhead avoiding their automatic gunfire! Ironworks can hear a lot of movement and gunfire suggesting a large group of gunmen!

OOCDue to the tall stacks of crates, Ironworks can't see any of the other gunmen (unless he moves around).

Parking two blocks away, turning off his phone and flipping it over to do a quick SIM card pull, Paul grabs his mask and stuffs it under his jacket as he hops out and starts walking his way in, looking for a moment completely out of sight to pull on the mask. Man, he's going to have to get better at dealing with this stuff, is the thought rolling through his head as he gets close enough to see the building in question.

He's going to circle around outside the cordon of police to come at the building towards doorway D, where he can see activity and the fewest cop cars between him and the building. A quick jog to get inside with a sprint across the exposed distance to the doorway where there will be more attention...

"You were warned, curs..." The handsome features of the angel twisted into a cold scowl. "Continue down the killers' path and know only that the torments of damnation await your miserable hides!"

When the Grigori once flew among the skies, no mortal could stand against his wrath. With one snap of his wings, Gadriel could have sent parasites like these scattering and thrown into the vortex as if caught by a tornado. But those days were long since passed. Now Gadriel only had a fraction of such power...

...would that I be worthy to wield such abilities again, O Lord...

...less brooding, more smackdown, Gads! Thomas' rebuttal immediately cut through, anxious with some fear -- but angry too. Gone was the young man from last night who wanted to just hide. Gadriel felt Thomas' desire to hurt these gunmen, these willing killers -- and he was concerned that he too was feeling a similar urge as well. Would these creatures just come back to spread violence over and over again in Freedom City?! How many more innocents would get wounded -- or worse?! The line between justice and retribution could be so blurred and razor thin at times.

"ENOUGH!!!" A bolt of silvery-white wrath erupted from the Grigori's outstretched hand, arcing itself towards the gunman on the left. No, this would not kill his quarry...

...even if that temptation was sorely there.

Seamus McDougal, Secret ID,  Character Sheet

Still masked behind the 'safety' of his cloaking field, Seamus gain some height and sees the gunman to his right, alone. *I'm going to need some kind of Area Attack if I'm going to keep this up.* He thinks to himself. Up until today, he's planned all of his assaults so precisely that he's never even had to worry about taking out more than one gunman at a time. He'd been able to slink his way through a mob boss's house or whatever base they were using, collect whatever evidence or information that he needed to collect and take out a few thugs along the way. He probably didn't need to even do that much, but he didn't want it to seem like it was a ghost. Except for the couple times he was specifically trying to frame one of the lieutenants to sow discord within the ranks.

But, here he was. Out of his element. It certainly was more exciting, but that meant it was far more dangerous. The others were here to help and there was no way Seamus could possibly predict what any of them might do. Heck, he didn't even know what special abilities they each had... at least not yet. And he'd never gone into a scenario where innocents or law enforcement officers could become collateral damage... at least not until last night and his best friend, Andre Phelps, was taken hostage. He'd been lucky.

Officers were down, possibly bleeding out, if not already dead. But that had happened before Seamus had gotten there. Maybe he could help. Hopefully he could help. Otherwise he was risking everything, his life and his plans, for nothing.

Not wanting to address the several gunmen that had inadvertently surrounded him, Seamus moves upward toward the ceiling and floats 8 meters towards the men's room, just behind the lone gunman and opens fire on him as he had the previous two gunmen.

OOCUsing his No END Vengeance Bolts attack. OK, I'm assuming each space is a meter... Vendetta's half move is only 10 meters in combat (10", which refers to the 2 meter space, so 5 space half move, which is 10 meters). If the spaces there are actually 2 meters, then Vendetta will only be able to move just 'north' of the gunman. I guess I'm assuming the spaces are a meter each instead of 2 because the 'figs' are larger than the spaces... which could just be so we can see things better.

Ironworksheadshot.png.358d70d87edd477a3335d025f051b5f9.pngWell, this is getting ugly.

Ironworks steps onto the warehouse floor and gestures, calling forth ribbons of light metal to wrap around the closest gunman.

OOCStep is just to ensure he's within 8m range. (0 END)

5d6 entangle, so 5 END.

I'm not counting any surprise or anything, so I'm just using OCV 8, for a 19-3d6 roll.

Riverside Warehouse, 12:40 p.m.

Everyone:

Grigori streaks above the bloodthirsty gunmen and unleashes a crackling blast of energy that strikes a crook - "AAEEIIIYEEE!!" - and he crumbles down to the floor unconscious! The gunmen in the area respond with a barrage of gunfire from multiple locations and the angelic hero is hit -- but the deadly rounds bounce harmlessly off his mystic armor!

While another gunman brings up his weapon to fire at Grigori he's suddenly ensnared by Ironwork's coiling strands of metal - "Heeyyy! What the %@&^!#!?!?" - that binds him up like a fly in a spider-web!

Moving beyond human perception Vendetta targets another gunman with an energy bolt that strikes and sends the crook flying several yards until he lands right in the doorway, knocked-out cold!

Preserver darts right into the open doorway - fortunately the four gunmen guarding the area are momentarily distracted by their buddy landing unconscious in front of them! They turn snapping their weapons in the direction of an unseen Vendetta ...

"What the ^%!*^#@*& is going on, man!?!?!

"Somebody's in here!"

"Or something ...!"

"%$!^@*&# IT! Let's see if it bleeds!"

Seamus McDougal, Secret ID,  Character Sheet

Pleased with the effectiveness of his cloaking device, Seamus moves northward toward one of the other heroes... he'd really have to learn who each of them were. He didn't want to make the other hero a target but he didn't like the idea of the four gunmen opening fire on his position. Sure, they couldn't see him, but those guns could spew a lot of lead and the best way to not get hurt was to avoid being hit at all.

Seamus moves upward toward the ceiling, but not too high up. He sets his targeting sights on the gunman southwest of the Forklift and fires...

"Our patience is wearing thin..." The Grigori's voice was heavy with disgust as the bullets bounced harmlessly off his armor. Could such mortal weapons affect him, even in his diminished state? Best not to give these brigands the chance to find out.

This time, he fired off two more bolts of wrath towards the panicking gunmen...

Ironworksheadshot.png.358d70d87edd477a3335d025f051b5f9.pngWell, wrapping up the first guy seemed to work, so he figured he'd try it again.

Ironworks moves up to roughly next to the forklift and tries to wrap metal around the gunman up by the crates (gunman #4).

OOCIf I'm reading the map right, assuming each square is about 2m, a half move (6m) will take him to the forklift, and that would be within 8m of gunman #4, so no range penalty.

This costs 6 END (1 for move, 5 for entangle), I think.

Body should be 5I messed up my dice command for the body roll. Given the dice results there, it should have been 5 body, not 3. (One 6, one 1).
