@RobGoldbeard I have noticed you write the feelings and reactions of other PCs pretty regularly. Like:

Quote

The fellow dwarves could not help but feel a mix of curiosity, intrigue, and awe as they beheld this armored figure, his golden beard a beacon of faith, wisdom, and a resolute determination to safeguard the realms against the encroaching darkness.

Quote

Branek's unyielding focus on the ship and the distant stare in his eyes gave the other dwarves a moment of uncertainty. They exchanged glances, wondering if their words had truly reached the Paladin or if something else had captured his attention.

The other dwarves couldn't help but feel drawn in by the power of his voice, even as the symbols he painted were infused with protective energies against the fiends.

The uneasy feeling the dwarves had experienced earlier now waned, replaced by a sense of confidence and determination.

It's not like you are writing combat actions for them. But I'd still say the more common practice is to write how something comes off rather than how other PCs respond to it.

Ex:

"Branek's unyielding focus on the ship and the distant stare in his eyes makes it unclear if their conversation has truly reached the Paladin."

Did everyone remember to restock on ammunition, potions of healing, and other important items? We probably won't be back in civilization for a bit!

buying: javelins x8 (4gp, 16 lbs), hand axe x 4 (20 gp, 8 lbs), a custom hand axe bandolier (1 gp, 1 lb), potion of healing x 1 (50 gp, 0.5 lbs)

selling: scale mail (25 gp)

total: -50

@Morph3us let me know about the bandolier, I just reflavored a quiver, which is only 1 gp/1 lb, but I can see since it is a specialized item, it could be much more expensive. I'm hoping to carry 6 hand axes in it strapped across Bhalgurn's chest. This is mostly for flavor, but I think it would be cool to use them as ranged weapons when possible, so not entirely useless, haha.

We have a few NPC's on our main ship, the Meridian, but we recently got a second ship, the Claw Hammer, for away missions. So, even if we have multiples of a specialty (when we include npcs), it might help us when we're away from the main ship. We have the pilot, engineer, and weapons specialist positions already. Maybe we can break engineering into two different ones? Like one could be electronics/computer specialist, the other can be engines/mechanical maintenance specialist?

That could work and help develop the spaceship side a bit more. It will also help balance with the weapons which I am thinking of dividing into "heavy" and "light" proficiencies. Targeted weapons like the torpedoes you still need to find would prompt piloting checks to avoid or potentially be shot down with light weapons I think.

The attempt to find out what star you have here makes a good chance to finalize the proficiency list and who is taking what.

Characters get an extra skill or proficiency from one of these starsailing-related options.

Piloting: Do we also need something like Navigation or Astronomy? Nature feels closest to that but it would then be very broad. Thoughts?

Light Weapons: Claw Hammer's force dart barrages fall under this.

Heavy Weapons: Claw Hammer's explosive turret falls under this.

Engineering: Grommash seems like the most obvious fit for it!

Computers: I originally used Arcana as the closest thing to this but it's a bit of a stretch and makes the skill really broad. I like foxtrot636's suggestion to split Engineering in half to create this one.

By the way, @RobGoldbeard, I don't see Branek's sheet in the game yet: https://www.myth-weavers.com/index.php?app=sheets&module=sheets&controller=view&id=221

Ah, makes sense!
Navigation following the Nature skill works for me.
Piloting I think I said I'd do it.

I think we said Kutaeg would do computers.

I'm good with Grommash at Engineering.

I think that leaves Branek at weapons? As long as @RobGoldbeard agrees that is. If he prefers to pilot, Bhalgurn can take weapons. I think he'd only have experience with light weapons to start.

Yes Kutaeg is good with computers.

Kutaeg will also get 3 PoH's, take one of the Great PoH's found at the station (you listed it in the Group Treasure page- from the abandoned ship). Also they found :

Quote

4 jars of Keoghtom's ointment (not identified at the time but you have downtime now)

Do we have time to ID that?

Also gonna finally upgrade to studded leather
