The Story

"What business? " snorts the man. "Opening up the necropolis has put us out of business. Before we would use tunnels like these to sneak into it. Carefully find a location, and carefully carry things out. Then we had to discretely sell the goods to the location merchants to avoid issue with the servants of Pharasma." he explains

"Now the gate is wide open. Every knucklehead with a wagon, rolls into the necropolis and loads up. We went to the auction to sell our last goods. Then we were going to leave town to find a new site to work. Whatever we have left, is upstairs." He explains.

His khopash radiates magic. He is wearing a brooch that is radiating light. It also unsurprisingly radiates magic. Those are the only magical auras on him.

Notes:

Anyone wanting to grab the brooch or the sword will need to make CMB check or escape artist roll to avoid getting entangled by the web.

The cooridor is a little tight to allow everyone close inspection, but he does his best to judge the words coming from the bandit. While true he tried to negotiate a way to end conflict, but then Anhotep initiated combat a second time. Why would they trust us now. He holds his action to observe the man a few moments longer.

"No no Deary, I wouldn't try to touch...," Madame Zelda begins to tell Raze and then realizes it's too late. "Ok well don't struggle. You'll just make it worse."

She addresses the bandit. "I'm going to release you now and we're going to tie you up and turn you over to the authorities and inform them of just how cooperative you've been so they go a little easier on you," she says, then suddenly her eyes grow dark and the shadows all around her bend and grow in all threatening manner.

"But if you try to run again, I promise you'll die burning in the dark before you make it TEN STEPS!!" Pearl warns in a tone that could melt stone.

She claps her hands twice and the webs vanish, the bandit's swords clattering to the ground.

Raze scowls when the webbing traps her hands as the Tiefling rogue vastly underestimates its adhesiveness when she attempted to remove the pair of blades dropped by the boss man.

However, her disdain is replaced with quick relief when Madame Zelda does the 'Clap on, Clap off' to dismiss her magical webbing allowing the pair of weapons to clatter to the stone floor of the hallway.

Not imagining missing twice, in the flash of an eye Raisin makes another attempt to grab the set of blades before the boss man can react but is surprised to see the foe surrender without a fight and even attempting to grab the weapons, which rakes against the burglar's gut.

Sensing Anhotep's doubt that all is well, Raisin quickly evaluates the pair of blades before stowing them for the party to analyze later and drawing her fancy composite short bow. Quickly nocking an arrow and backing off from the group a few lengths, the Tiefling watches and listens for anything unusual in the immediate area and silently hopes that the group will question the captured boss man as soon as possible.

The Story

Raze grabs the man's weapon from the ground. Ramad walks over to the man and binds his hands behind. Ramad takes a step back. Using both hands, he drives his longsword into the back of the man. Cutting through the liver and other vital organs, the man lets out a silent gasp of air.

The corpse slides off Ramad's blade and slumps to the ground. It twitches a few times before it goes still.

Notes:

Now that the bossman was murdered. Time to pillage?

"That solves that nicely. I was going to offer, but it seems it wasn't necessary. Any interest in trying to question his corpse? Don't know how common cressets of interrogation are around here, but we could probably try to source some speak with deads from the Pharasmites."
Tone briskly cheerful, Dros quickly rummaged through the boss' pockets, pulling out everything that seemed like it might be of value.
"Should we check those double doors back at the entrance before we fully strip the place? Just to be safe."

Ramad wipes the blood from his sword on the clothing of the fallen bossman. "With the current problem resolved, I am curious as to why the priest was captured in the first place." he says. "Was there another that succeeded in escaping?" he asks, as he chose to go this direction, instead of the other the ruffian that attempted to flee took.
