Despite being surprised by the extent of the grenade's detonation, Ghost is still able to maintain her footing. She looks toward the staggering anooba with an ambusher's eye, but Sophic's fall demands immediate priority. Ghost helps the other woman to her feet.

"Are you all right," Ghost asks Sophic aloud.

Aosa sucked in her breath when Sophic tumbled. She sighed in relief when Sophic didn't fall off the hull. Springing into action, Aosa moves to a better firing location. Taking aim, she fires at the southern most anooba.

Aosa's shot dug into the sand at the anooba's feet, eliciting a yelp and the anooba turned and charged for the sand ramp. Two more anooba come staggering out of the hold. The jawa start taking aim, waiting for the anooba to clamber up the sand ramp.

OOC

Aosa's shot just barely misses the anooba. The two that were out last round charge for the sand ramp, gaining a little bit of elevation, and two more anooba emerge.

Sophic getting to her feet, fires at the Anooba heading for the ramp, the one on the left (K5) as she fires. She elects to stay exactly where she is, in the middle of the cargo hold roof, to avoid the danger of falling off should the hold shift for any reason.

Survival instinct demands that Ghost remain atop the hold, outside the reach of the deadly jaws of the anooba. As Ghost looks across at Aosa and the Jawas, however, her soul reminds her of what those same jaws could do to her new friends. While Sophic blasts away, Ghost hastily harnesses herself back up and tries to rapidly scramble back along the rope toward the others to make a stand.

Sophic catches a solid shot on lead anooba, the shot to it's hindquarters perhaps contributing to the scrabbling it does rounding the top of the sand ramp. It's compatriot keeps pace with it, but they are not quite able to close with the Jawa and Ghost as the Tusken arrives along the rope sling. Two more emerge from the hold, as the others begin charging up the sand ramp. The Jawa fire at the closest Anooba, their blaster pistols whining in the glaring sun. Only one shot of the salvo scores a hit, but it is enough to drop the lead anooba in the sand. This does little to nothing to dissuade the rest of the bloodthirty pack.

Ghost will move up to E10 to block the anooba. She charges, giving her a +2 to her attack roll but -2 to her Reflex Defense (16) until next turn.

At least one of these Jawas knows how to shoot... Ghost surges forward to screen for the scouting party, her gaffi stick whistling toward the lone anooba's head.

Ghost cuts in front of Aosa as the Umbran advances, her gaffi still whistling through the air. With a yelp the anooba drops at her feet. Aosa quickly shifts her aim to the next anooba clambering towards them along the ridge, a single shot dropping the beast. It's closest mate barely even pauses as it leaps over the body. In a shock to Sophic's usually preternatural aim, her target slips in the sand at just the right moment to cause the blaster bolt to glass the sand next to it. The Jawas moved forward along the ridge, forming a rough firing line with Aosa. Their blasters fire, but only cause sand to erupt around the still approaching anooba.

Sophic can hear the whimpering, barking mass of the rest of the pack come surging out of the hold. Four of them emerge, slavering, into the light, and Sophic can hear two more coming right behind them.

Down in one swing... The grenade must have done more than Ghost had given it credit for. More anooba are coming and fast. Someone needs to stem the tide. Those beaked maws will make short work of the Jawas should they close. With a fierce Tusken war cry, Ghost charges forward to add another skull to her tally.
