Applications

I will be recruiting 1-2 additional players to replace players who have left the campaign. Applications will be open until 4/19, and selections will be made by 4/22.

Mechanics

  • Allowed Sources: All Wizards 5E Sourcebooks, except for racial restrictions below.
  • Starting Level: 10
  • Stats: roll two sets of 4d6v1, and choose one
  • Races: Human, Variant Human, High Elf (Qualinesti or Silvanesti), Wood Elf (Kagonesti), Hill Dwarf (Neidar), Mountain Dwarf (Hylar, Klar, Daewar), Duergar (Theiwar or Daergar Dwarf) Kender, Gnome (Tinker or Mad), Half-Ogre (use Half-Orc Stats)
  • Classes: All except Sorcerer. No Celestial Warlocks. Only Gnomes may be Artificers.
  • HP: Max at first level, and then roll half + half (ie d8 classes roll 1d4+4; d10 classes roll 1d5+5)
  • Starting Gear: Any mundane. Selected characters will receive 2 Uncommon and 1 rare magic items, per DM approval.
  • All characters will receive one bonus feat at first level. This stacks with the Variant Human feature.
  • No home-brew.

Application
Start a thread on the Applications page. You may use any application format you like, or you may use the template below. I may steal it handle it for my own future applications. You'lll be using the 10-minute background to develop your character.

Your application should include:

  • Step 1: Write at least 5 background and concept elements that you feel are important to your image of the character. These can be a concept overview, a list of important life events, a physical description, a personality profile...whatever you need to get an image in your mind. 5 is just a minimum...more elements are encouraged!
  • Step 2: List at least two goals for the character. At least one of these goals should be one that the character has, while another should be one that you, as a player, want to see developed over the course of the game.
  • Step 3: List at least two secrets about your character. One is a secret the character knows, one is a secret that involves them but that they are not actually aware of yet.
  • Step 4: Describe at least three people that are tied to the character. Two of them are friendly to the character, one is hostile.
  • Step 5: Describe at least three memories, mannerisms, or quirks that your character has. They don't have to be elaborate, but they should provide some context and flavor.
