Maybell prepares herself, readying her viol in anticipation of their first clash with the goblins... And once they are spotted she begins her performance! The same notes fly out to inspire her allies... and then, she twists her grip on her bow, making a new different note directed at the closest goblin to strike at their mind.

Maybell for her first turn will be using Inspire Courage once again. Remember everyone, +1 to hit, +1 to damage +1 to fear effects!

 

After that she will cast Daze on the nearest goblin, dealing her charisma modifier damage on a base Will save. If they critically fail, they are also stunned 1.

Chelia tied the rope where there was room and as soon as everybody was in place, she threw it down and slided down, using her gloves to avoid rope burns as she moved down as quickly as possible. Then as she drew her sword she called out a few syllables in elven to have her shield spell spring up around her.

Kek shimmies down the rope and starts circling around to the north, keeping to the shadows by the wall. Whatever is through the door, it's clear he doesn't want any of the infected escaping through to warn others.

Are you certain that's what Kek wants to do? Given that the tunnel does not lead directly down to the exit? The main exit, from what you can see, goes underneath the tunnel you ascended. The door to the North that they just opened may or may not lead to somewhere the spiral tunnel goes to.

Correction to one measurement. Referencing the drawn map, I previously said the ledge you're viewing the entry hall is 20 feet up - let's say that's 30 feet to make it match the drawing better.

Continued from: Combat - Tower Entry Hall


A clever force could use a tower like this to defended against a comparatively much larger force of attackers. The walls are thick stone, there is one main entrance with additional higher vantage points that could be used to funnel enemies up the stairs at the entrance into a kill zone, hidden doors, and who knows what other surprises.

And so this welcome - two hunger crazed sentries and a mindless ooze - seems a bit underwhelming.

How many are there spread throughout this place, and will they organize some kind of opposition, or just continue to allow these adventurers to conquer them one room at a time?

When the final foe drops, Weylin lets out a sigh of relief. "Well, that was certainly tricky. Maybe this was a bit to far from the action for my magic this time." He looks to the group, "Everyone ok?"

Khaine lowers his fists as the last of the enemy are defeated. He dabs carefully at his wounds, the strange solution seemed to do the trick and stop the burning pain, but he was still worse for wear.

"A moment to rest and recover would be great. Perhaps someone could keep a watch at the door and Kek could take a look at my skin here?"

"No worries, I have the door," Chelia said as she wiped her blade on one of the goblin's clothing to get the ooze off it, before taking position at the indicated door so they could only attack her two at the time. There she stood guard while healing happened.

"Well, I certainly appreciate how the height kept me quite safe during that fight... but it is a little bit far for my spells as well... I'm sorry I couldn't be of further assistance. Please, good Kek, do see to Khaine... he fought most bravely right at the frontline with nothing to protect him but his guts and speed" bids Maybell as she attempts to move to rejoin her companions.

Where the goblin spit on him, Khaine's skin is shiny ans starting to blister. A small ammount of alchemical salve from Kek's kit instantly begins cooling the burn, and soon hardens like a second skin. The new blisters quickly begin to subside.

As Chelia stands watch by the door to the North, she is able to see and figure out the mechanism for latching and for opening the hidden door. It seems like very sophisticated work.

Past the doorway is a hallway that goes east and gradually curves south.

The odd looking club that some of the adventurers previously spotted is still there, by the pile of bones near th west wall near the rope down from the overlook/balcony.
