Very much agreed (READ: please don't let Tala complete the declared action, she has 4 HP: shes one pit trap from kobold-chow). Unfortunately I don't think IC she knows enough to call out either character to make a trap check otherwise, and failing that it's a Thing That Needs Doing . . . Where it's possible that everyone could want to do independent actions (such as this situation), I will only advance the counter after I've gotten posts from everyone (or waited at least 48 hours). If only one character can act before the group moves forward, such as someone checking for traps on a door, then the turn counter advances after that action is complete.
