Making sure everything and everyone is ready for the classic double ambush move. Once Dannok is healed up by Riina (see ooc), Kaine and the massive half-ork make there way up the trail doing their best "act normal" walk. Actions OOC Can we have Riina do a cast of CLW on Dannok to bring up full or closer to full HP. The Bait Riina casts some healing on Dannok, then Dannok and Kaine wander down the path discussing the deer that talked to them not so long ago. Riina, Willow, and Morrigan follow quietly a bit later. When the bandits eventually hear them, and they let the pair get surprisingly close, two of them quickly move behind trees on either side of the trail while the third bends down as if examining an injured ankle. "Pardon me guv'nor. Seem to have slipped on all this ice. Could you lend a hand helping me off the trail?" He fetches his flask and takes a swig, speaking softly to Dannok while his mouth is covered with the flask. " Maybe we keep this one alive, could learn more about what's ahead." Kaine calls out to the bandit as they continue to walk up ever closer. "It is mighty precarious terrain out here for sure. How about a stiff drink to warm you up?' Kaine knows that any second, any step, the bandits are going to make their move and hopefully Kaenu and Rasan will deal with him before he is filled with arrows. Best to concentrate on the one on the road. If he gets close enough (melee range) he'll act like he wants to hand him and flask but instead throw it up as a momentary distraction and make an attack with his rapier aiming for the legs Actions attacking the bandit in the road. When he turns back, Kaine is right there, rapier in hand and Dannok is right behind him and next to his buddy who they had thought was concealed in the trees. Round 1 Dannok swings for the bandit off to the side and in the brush, missing as his axe cleaves through some of the nearby branches. Willow, Riina, and Morrighan move up a bit, but keep hanging well back. You're too pretty to die!" as Rasan's sling stone slams into her and Keanu's arrow strikes her shoulder, leaving her to slump slowly to the ground. The remaining bandit withdraws, trying to carefully flee to the woods. Round 2 Dannok charges after the bandit and cuts him more or less in half with a single axe blow. Quickly he removes rope from his backpack to bind their prisoner then Kaine searches the unconscious foe to insure he won't be able to cut himself free later. "Let's get this one off the trail somewhere well out of sight. See what he knows while warming ourselves". Kaine suggests Actions Take 20 on perception for searching the captive. While she wasn't one to undress corpses, the cold made that they needed everything they could get to keep and stay warm. OOC search the bodies and get their clothes and everything else that can be uses to stay warm.
