Every single member of Choaz Company has done this drill a thousand times, you all know what to do. Second nature would be an understatement. The door flies open away from you into the space of the room, the wood and splinters falling ten feet in from the entrance. The inside of the room is well furnished, plants in the corners, one now knocked over from the breaching of the door, a taxidermic stuffing of a bear against one wall, a mounted head of a drake on the opposite above the fireplace. A four poster bed sits against the other far wall, flanked by a line of armoires, a nightstand and a chest. Crouching behind a desk there is one man with his bow already drawn and ready to fire. At the centre of the room stand another pair of men, a sorcerer and a bearded man wielding a rapier. One of these men must be Olenius Bursio. Sophronia's swift movement into the room would've assured her a tactically advantageous position, except that as she slid past the warlord and his bodyguards that one of the men took a stab at her. She managed still to dodge the rapier's point luckily, but her swing with the morningstar equally misses the mark on her opponent. Refreshing her divine favor, Octavia marches up and prepares to bring up the rear, as Batalan beelines for the mage's side, whom reacted immediately with a poke of his spear, but that too falls short of harming the hellknight. With a gesture of her fingers, Maralictor Volso directed the aggressive thundercloud to move into the chamber, weaving between Narcipia and Octavia as it surges forward with electric sparks to engulf the archer, the crackling electricity zapping him like several bolts of lightning. The air about her is heavy with the conviction and purpose dedicated to your squadra's current task. Lunging forward into the room, Hellknight #1354 hauls his earthbreaker up in la poste di falcone, bringing it down upon the rapier-wielder's right calf as he is distracted from trying to deal with Soprhonia. Ignoring the two hellknights harrying him, the rapier-wielder takes a step away from them toward the large bed, and starts going to town slicing and dicing away at Batalan, though he only manages to get through the hellknight's defenses once, causing a terrible, icy cold around the wound as he slices open Batalan's right arm as it begins to bleed profusely. "Two can play at this game." Stepping back, the mage conjures up a spell of lightning bolt, shooting out from his fingertips in a line through Batalan and Sophronia. Taking a side step to disengage from the aggressive thundercloud, the archer fires a pair of arrows at #1354, but only one manages to penetrate his armour and pierce him in the lower left leg. [[ Map — Mansion Raid ]] (( Oops, damage rolls from E should've been 1d8+5, not -5. Batalan takes 9 damage, plus 6 cold and 4 from sneak attack (Total 19), and begins to bleed 2HP/round. iantruesilver Posted January 19 Author Clone Share Posted January 19 (edited) Combat — Round 2 Initiative Order PCs: Average (N 22, S 20, O 16, B 15, A 14, #1354 9) = 16 Outlaws: 10 [[ Mood Music ]] Narcipia's volley of gunfire punches several small holes into the sorcerer's chest, the force blasting splatters of blood that briefly spray from the wound, and knocking him back against the line of armoires at the wall. It not only interrupts his next effort at spellcasting, but the last shot seems to have rendered him unconscious. Batalan's spell combat with his morningstar finished him off, leaving the mage's body battered and singed with the acid and frost. While #1354 goes to town with the archer at the end of his hammer, Sophronia and Octavia gang up on the rapie-wielding warlord Olenius Bursio. Sandwiched between the business-end of a morningstar and a fauchard, the rebel leader finds no escape and finally meets his end.
