The remaining rooms on the main floor have no more surprises, there is an admin office and a recreational area for the guards.

Heading upstairs you find a bloodbath, all the cells have been opened and all of the patients have been killed as well as the guards. It looked like there was a riot and the inmates killed the guards then at least some of the women were....... The more able-bodied killed the lesser and eventually only a few remained, two more dogs were found dead and four more inmates were found to have multiple bitemarks that had festered before the victim died. The magical weapons are in the head warders office (12a which is to the east of 13) and will be in a locked cabinet, the key to which will be on the head warders key ring (where ever that is).

Once upstairs the sight is disturbing. Strunthal shakes his head and then gets to work. He heads for the head warders office to check on the cabinet that has the magical items in it.

I am going to check out the lock on the cabinet. Just in case I can't open it, would you all mind checking the bodies of the dead warders and see if you can find any keys. I have the one set we got earlier but am not expecting to have gotten that lucky.

With that he heads into the head warders office. He still expects trouble, so will be on his guard as he enters. Once he has determined there are no surprises waiting to jump out at him he will go check out the cabinet. He searches it for traps first and then checks out the lock. He will try all the keys on his key ring first and then if they don't work he will try to pick it.

Finn finally wipes the nosebleed with the back of his hand once he tastes blood he looks at the massacre around with an almost detached expression, moving from Strunthall's way. For a moment he just stands there looking at stains hoping they reveal some kind of invocation symbol before moving to checking the bodies. By the look of his face far more mundane job. From time to time he pushes some unusual brick with his sword trying to dislodge it and find...anything.

Strunthal does not find a trap nor opened the lock, he thinks he might have to up his game a bit to make this work.

Finn does not find any invocations nor any hidden spaces.

Finn returns to the room where Strunthall is working wiping off his blood and some of the blood from the victims "They made such a mess that unless I start doing autopsies there is no way I'll find a key." He points to the length of his sword "Metal is pretty sturdy and you have some muscles there, It could be a decent crowbar replication. Wanna try to force it if there is no trap? Or a dagger if you want to mess up the lock."

It seems that Finn is actually fond of Pixie for whatever reason since Strun could see Warlock biting the lip on the opposite side of him and trying to sound normal. "I am well aware of it...in theory, there would be just one person with the key and we asked how many people are there so that many people we would have to search."

"However, these people have been quartered in some cases which slightly enlarges the number we have to search. Then, if I were the spiteful SoB that I am I would rather swallow the key than risk it falling into the hands of prisoners especially if the weapons are that powerful. There is the possibility that the key is sailing away, one of the prisoners hoping to return when the mess is cleared up and selling weapons for a tidy profit."

"None of it has to be truth and in a second someone could walk in with the key, but none of the stiffs I checked had it." He points at blood stains on his clothes "And I was thorough. I simply say that having the alternative would not kill us. Not trying to raise a fuss."

Frustrated that the lock will not open very easily he sets to work on the lock again. He will be damned if he is going to let this lock beat him.

If you got a crowbar we can try that. I am just going to give this another shot before I give up.

Devon walks around the area, adding to his notes, and trying to check off the people on his list where possible. If he notices anyone that might be the Warder, he looks for the keys, otherwise he continues his work. When he sees Strunthal struggling with the lock, he goes over to lend a hand. "I believe I can lend a hand if the lock is that well made."

Having already checked for traps and finding none, Strunthal opens the cabinet to see what magical weapons are kept inside it.

Finn takes another step back juuust in case. Everyone was suspicious because Warlocks wore all black yet noble Paladins were ones that looked like butchers after battle with all their bright colors. After checking a dozen bodies...or body parts and creating a few himself Finn had just several darker blotches on his clothes. Acid from the trap however could easily mess up hat elegance.

"It f*cking resets? Those weapons better be worth all this grief." Finn vaults obstacles in his way (Dwarf included) and starts throwing out everything he can grab his hands on until the place is empty.
