"Oh love, I'm sure this new arm is... something. It glows. That must be good, fight? We'd call you Barkvin Goldenarm m and everyone would hish when you entered a room. Imagine it..." she waves her hands, gesturing in the air as if pointing to a crowd.

"...bar of the meanest men on the sea. Cursing and fighting, the rabble sonloud yiu can't hear your own head. Then the door opens and everyone is quiet as they look at 'cha. The ladies all run up, wanting to meet ya, the men folk afraid to make eye contact."

 

Once she has his attention, she hugs him again and let's him back in the idea for a moment. Then she goes back to the daughter. "I... don't know how she ever found me. Its got to be a mistake. I keep even told those druids my name. Just left her..."

 

OOC: that's fine but it might take her a day to do something nice. She can have something mediocre done for ya by morning.

Niko picks the scent up easily. Its less than an hour as a steady pace to find the trail and even find the men. You find a small camp of about two dozen men and women of mixes races. Tel is tied up to a pole in the middle but doesn't look beaten or roughed up, just not allowed to leave.

 

There are a few makeshift tents and bodies bundled up in piles of blankets. No sign of Indominus but there is a large red dragonborn who lifts his head and sniffs the air almost as soon as you see him. This forces you to retreat or fight so you quickly bail and return to the inn.

She's not going to wait for anyone else to chime in. She hands her backpack over to Ved to watch and leaves to try and get the trail.

The next morning dawns and you find yourselves in one of the private rooms for breakfast. Its just leftovers from last night with fresh bread added in. Niko and Murdain had scouted a bit last night and is everyone is together with quite a bit to discuss.

"Before we discuss bigger events in the world around us..." Niko didn't mind leftovers. Most inns served pottage and that seemed normal. Not getting soup is already a success in her book.

 

"Tomorrow night is the next full moon. There were around two dozen men in that camp and we have to assume they're all werewolves, or most are. I doubt they're natural borns so we are on the eve of a feeding frenzy. The people here need to be gone by then because I do not believe we can fight the entire pack."

Barkvin comes down in the morning a little bleary eyed. Maybe hungover slightly. He gets some grub and digs in. "Argh, a full moon you say. Damn. I remember I was coming to tell you Trent; the werewolf fellow we saved from the mad halfling scientist at the Mory's farm. Well he ran off back to his family before I could heal him. This ain't good. Too many were wolves in these parts." His arm is not in a blanket any more, but a new sleeve has been quickly made of black fabric and sewed on in place of the one that was ripped off. He wears a black glove over that hand.

Kirit resists the temptation to go through all Nicolette's possessions while she's out, and hands her pack back unopened.

"If we don't fight them now, then what? We lose their trail and they just eat another town, and another."

He tears off some of the bread. "Can we move whole town out of range of their hunt before nightfall? Let's arm them. It hurts less to die fighting than to die running, I've seen."

Niko hisses at Barkvin's information. This is what comes with showing mercy. Now she had to handle this camp and quickly get on that man's trail. For now she focuses on the task at hand. "A spear is meaningless unless its silvered. We can't hope to arm people here."

 

"They have two days. This is an inn, most here are already traveling. They just need to be encouraged to travel faster. If we hit the camp, killa few, it may delay things."

"What if Niko goes in to talk.. oh! Maybe Ve- did she say you killed your dad yesterday?" She stops hard at the question then shakes her head. "Wait, no, first maybe you go with her because you smell wolfy. Maybe she can pee on you or something. Then Murdain and I can go save Tel and Barkvin and Hii Al, can prepare an ambush for whe- if it goes wrong."
