ArcaneDesperado Posted March 2 Author Clone Share Posted March 2 Taurus watched as the group of Joe-recruits swarmed around him. He smirked slightly as he readied for the rush of the lot of them. However he had only planned for the grapples. As Decaf moved in, a haymaker caught him a bit by surprise. He managed to shift weight to not take the full brute of the punch but in doing so he had to adjust his stance. Doing so opened him up for the oncoming momentum of the others. The combined force of all of them lifted him off his feet and moved him backwards. Even with all of them it felt like pushing a semi with a parking brake on. Taurus had lost the firm plant in the center but still fought to remove the writhing mass of arms trying to move him. Fixer was the first to get flung to the side, but the massive Turkish man had lost five feet of ground already. Angel next found herself eating mat, as he tried once against to re-establish his feet. The stars in his head from the punch keeping him from fully getting his since of balance. Triage flew back. Still Taurus fought against the two left. His feet grinding into the mat below. Huntsman then went up and over, straight unto his back with a thud as Taurus threw him off. With a final twist Taurus spun around and dislodged Decaf from his person. She found herself also on her back at the edge of the mat, her face landing right next to his heavy boots. Looking over through she could see the painted edge line of the circle. Half of his foot was over it. The Turk has rubbing his jaw now finally from her punch as he looked down at her. His eyes shifting slightly over to the line and then his boot. She move forward, heading to the next obstacle but does pass by Decaf, in a gesture that could vaguely resemble a big sister move Angel pat the head of the sapper "scrappy and vicious" she say as a compliment. She's not happy because of the success, well, she is happy for that, but it's how Decaf did it that has placed Angel in a good mood, starting a grappling match with a haymaker is the kind of unorthodox, maybe underhanded, move Angel's like, sneak attacks are her signature. Nothing in the rules that says it had to be one at a time. You may all proceed. He pointed at the wall behind him. It was another ten foot wall, similar to the others they had scaled before. Beyond it instead of the wide-open spaces of the previous obstacles, this section of the course narrowed down into tight and cramped one-footwide corridors, splitting and winding into a confusing labyrinth. Another Wall DIF 5 Acrobatics, Athletics, or Brawn Skill Test to climb the wall. Tight Squeeze Each PC must attempt a DIF 10 Alertness, Science, or Survival Skill Test to navigate the narrow corridors of the maze. He hadn't expected to be anything more than a stop gap in the team's bum rush, but the ease with which Taurus had swatted certainly stung - maybe not as bad as the rest of his body, but still. Picking himself up once things have calmed down and working out what soreness he can, he falls in with the others as the team continues along the course. Vaulting over the wall easily enough, the cramped environs of the maze he falls into initially take him by surprise. However after centering himself and taking in his surroundings, Fixer begins slowly and surely working his way through the maze. Rudra Posted March 3 Clone Share Posted March 3 (edited) As she observe the wall Angel where are the other instructors and what kind of challenge will they present, she suspect firearms and melee weapons but this place is such a madhouse there could be anything. Like before she run up the wall, showing her parkour skill, once atop the wall she study the maze, trying to memorize as much as she can, before dropping down, she doesnt need Triage help for this challenge but even if she did, her pride wouldnt allow her to ask another team's help. The corridors are narrow but she is nimble and has a clear idea of the path she need to walk to get to the exit. "Sorry about the punch," she says a little awkwardly. "I owe you a drink or something in the future." With that she scrambles over the wall and lands on the other side. As DeCaf enters the maze she slaps a hand on the left wall. It takes a bit of time, but the young sapper makes her way through. "This is seriously what c-4 is for!" She complains as she comes out the other side. In a way she was glad such a simple maze was not hindering and the momentary pause gave her a moment check her person to make sure nothing broke on that fall. She hopes Juice is alright, but it looks like this group is still looking at a teams match. That's just fine by her. She begins navigating the maze herself, being tiny, the cramped quarters were actually somewhat comforting. She recalled navigate through areas of Tokyo or Shinjuku in the labyrinthian streets and alleys. As she moved she caught up with some of the other teams but when they zigged, she zagged keeping a system of method in mind to traverse the maze. It's a simple logic problem to her as she makes it to the other side. "That was kind of relaxing actually." Japanese TranslationOh this is so groll. I so need a bath.
