Rikitikitavi sneeze.

with this plan, both moongooses bow to Ripley and go on their way.

ReportEditReply

"Oh, we will try to go back to the bank. Hoop worked hard for this treasure," Brixie tells the narrator. She gives away the umbrella to someone who doesn't have it and will make her way to the bank.

"Ugh. This baby is getting heavy," she grumbles.

Ripley does not want to tell them where saltpeter comes from. While explosive, it tends to be a byproduct of certain kinds of "natural" fertilizer. Few knew of its value, though, and so he has little worries about convincing the processors in charge of it to part with some. In fact, the hardest part might be convincing them to let him have a bag to carry it in.

All that being said, he heads towards the town's rubbish pit.

Smartbird&snarky wolf

An eldery beggar mink at first flinch in fear as Brixie apporach her- but when given an umbrella her expression is softened.

"May the forest deer bless you, dear wolf."

Hoop&Brixie apporach the bank.

The two guards are still there-one is a badger and the other is a wolverine.

Both armed with gilded huge hammers

They are eyeing Hoop and Brixie

"Who are you?". the wolverine demand.

"And what buisness do you have at the Better Burrow Bank?"

Pyre Squad

The moongooses follow Ripley silently under the rain.

Little bit of asking around that trash is thrown naturally near the river- somewhere between tbe riverfolk block and the printery.

(between points 9 and 12 at the map)

The Riverfolk block is a set of cabins, some of them built straight over the water.

and some had their own watermills.

The riverfolks seemed unphased by the rain, but as most were traders, they just sat lazily near their cabins, some smoking pipes or licking seashells, and their children ran around, playing cheerfully.

frogs, otters, toads, beavers and more river animals.

the omenouse eldery lizard lady from before were sitting with a toad eldery who has offered her a tea.

The denizens waved friendly at Ripley, and right near this block, were a trash hills that crumbled into the river.

Ripley approaches the Riverfolk with a paw raised in greeting. "Ahoy mates!" he calls out, "We're lookin' fer saltpeter. Ye wouldn't happen to have some already prepared, would ye? Also lookin' fer an old cauldron, if'n ye have one."

He has his best, friendliest smile on his face. He wants to make a good impression here, if possible.

Brixie&Hoop

The guards move out of the way.

"Of course!"

"Sorry for keep you waiting!"

As the duo enter, it warm inside.

Colorful rugs cover the floor, a huge circle of gilded chairs, saround an inner circle of teller windows.

It's like there is a warren within a warren.

some denizens are sitting and waiting, some- probably the workers run around, carrying papers or treasure chests to here and there.

And about dozen guards are standing and patrolling.

The rugs and the walls have an emblem- a carrot inside a shield with a motto scroll

"Better Burrow Bank"

A local worker- a shoorty rabbit girl with big round glasses turn to Hoop and Brixie.

"Good morning, ladies. You are..." and she pull a ticket.

"number 19 in line. Please, take your seats, and I'll anounce your turn. Alright?" she talk sweetly.

"I will bring you cups of root tea in few minutes- please be patient- the Better Burrow Bank, serve every customer with full attention.' and she hoop away

Some denizens eye up Brixie.

And one.. more then others.

A.. wolf. He is a bit shorter then Brixie, maybe by few cenitmeters, and more lean then muscular. completly white furred with -pink-red eyes.

The wolf look at Brixie recongnizing her, and looks hesistant if to apporach her.

He wear a hood, and a chain with a single fang longer then his own muzzle. But for Brixie a bronze armband with a symbol of broken shackles on it, trigger her foggy memory.

Over his body he has many ropes and chains placed on X over him.

Brixie's memory

The symbol belong to Brixie's original pack. Some had it tatooed, most had it over brone jewelry: broken shackles.

The albino wolf specifiacly trigger a specific memory-

an albino wolf cub, slightly younger then herself.

He is beaten up and a "black eye". He cry over something, and Brixie comfort him.

What have they told each other? It's still foggy.

Ripley

A household of otters react to Ripley.

An otter kid wave.

"Saltpepper? Pa surely have some, mister clown sir! Yes sirry!"

Sandukan draw his katars with a snarl.

"You shall not speak in this manner to our Master, you pest!"

the otter just laugh.

"Clams and wishkers! A whole band of traveling fools! Ma surely would love you three!"

and lead the trio to their home.

Assuming the group follow, inside the house it moisty, and the floor barely creak as it wet. The roof has many holes, but the furniture are fancy.

A male wide otter sat at soffa, smoking a pope and licking seashells.

A female thin otter boiled something at the kichten. It seems they had only one room, their beds also were there, but there were also a back door

"Pa! Ma! Bunch of funny and wet clowns want saltpepper!"

the mother turned to the group, her dress was made of canvas and ropes.

"Clowns?!" she gasped excited.

"Now now dear." the father said.

"We cant just invite them and ask them to work right away, now can we? Now now. Sit down fellas. My dear will serve you clam soup right away. Isnt that right dear?"

his wife replied:"Of course dear."

the boy:"Wow. I am bored. I am going to play, but call me when they do a show! Byyyyyeee"

Brixie breathed in a sigh of relief from the cold wet outside. She must have been a sight; a huge absurdly pregnant-looking wet wolf with hair all over her face. However, she bowed her head slightly to the warm hospitality of the little rabbit girl, and their offer of tea.

"Thank you, a lot."

As denizens look at Brixie, she tries not to make a scene, but sometimes she can't help herself. Those that stare at her a bit too long, she flash a toothy smile, as if to say, 'hello little denizen.' Well, she isn't trying to be intimidating, but that is hard to do when you are a big, bad wolf.

It's when she sees the wolf that Brixie stops smiling and has a... confused look on her face. Why does he look familiar? Brixie strains to remember. Who was this wolf in her past childhood?

Hoop enters look like she is comfortable with the place.

She accepts the ticket. She doesn't say thank you until the rabbit says she is brining them tea. "Thank you. Tea sounds nice with the weather outside." She looks to Brixie who seems to be feeling several emotions. She guides Brixie to their seats. She notices the wolf as well. There have been an usually high amount of wolfs in this clearing. She looks to Brixie to see what the wolf wants to do.

Brixie looks back to Hoop. "He looks like... a friend from when I was a cub. Back when we..."

She seems unable to complete that sentence, as if something in her head refuses to acknowledge something about her past. Brixie shakes herself out of her pause.

"I... I don't remember his name." She seems suddenly sullen.
